this your first day on PrepHole? there are multiple sites built for that purpose because people want to compare gear weights and efficacy.
collecting gear is basically a sub-hobby for a lot of people.
I don't have pictures of mine but OP is right to want to see others kits, I want to see peoples setups, kits etc; too. How narcissistic do you have to be to think we want to see you b***hing in this thread?

There’s no such thing as a $100 tent. I’m sure there are products for under $100 called tents. But they’re not.
And yes it’s worth it, spending money on your hobbies is the most rewarding way to spend your money- as long as you’re taking care of your bills and retirement, and you have 6months quick cash for emergencies, etc… all stocked. But it’s 2024 so no one should be having money problems. I think it’s fine to spend money on the things you love to do. The same argument could be said about hunting and all the specialty gear needed for that . You can spend $400 or $4000 and the $4000 option is a lot better.
Saying 'PrepHole' is fine when remarking on things that are commonplace across different boards. Context is important but you wouldn't understand that, autist
Doesn't exist. Shit tier walmart tents are 250 now. If budget is a major concern buy a good quality one used for around 300 if dropping the 5 or 6 is a strain. the thing people don't seem to realize about gear is quality pays for itself over the life of the item.
I have a 50 dollar titanium shovel. It's light. It doesn't rust. it works. It doesn't dig into your hand. Meanwhile the 10 dollar one from walmart weights 5x as much and is useless from rust after a year. Buy wisely and you only have to buy once.
I also forget PrepHole is mostly hobos and underage. It's not 2016 anymore, thank trump and then bidenomics for everything doubling in price. 1 dollar today is worth 50 cents from 2016, and it shows in gear prices.
Damn, what a stupid post. New, great quality, lightweight tents are around $300. A quality, name brand titanium trowel is $15 while AliExpress knockoffs are probably $5.
Now factor in the weight and PRICE of your carbon fiber, black diamond trekking poles, homosexual. This is only a tent when you add other things (not included)

If you just larp about going out and then drive to (insert major tourist destination here) so you can car camp or do a days worth of trails then it is not worth it.
