I heard they jam alot and apparently have a poor ejection pattern that throws the brass down into your forearm.
I've also heard the same about the ksg and ks7. you can get a shell deflector to help with the ejection pattern on the ksg and ks7, I'm not sure about the rdb though.
Proof?
I want you to be right, because I'm considering getting a ks7 since they are gorgeous to me. I also would really like a rdb but I'm worried about them both jamming.
I forgot to add that I've heard some people say they only jam when new? And that after cycling about 100 rounds they become alot more reliable? I'm not sure on that though. pl0x quell my fears.
>I forgot to add that I've heard some people say they only jam when new? And that after cycling about 100 rounds they become alot more reliable? I'm not sure on that though. pl0x quell my fears.
You have to adjust the gas when you get it. There's instructions in the manual or you can watch a youtube video on how to adjust the gas for the ammo you are shooting. morons buy the gun then go shoot and then it jams. After the jam they assume the gun doesn't work rather than go through the adjustment process.
Sitting while shooting is fantastic
From semi to shotgun to handgun, it makes you more stable and you can really focus on your handwork >muh tactical scenario where I need to move
irrelevant, I shoot for fun and hunts
Stop your Jtac shilling, we all know they aren’t going to release it anytime soon and are just trying to artificially generate hype. You can resume the shill when they actually give a date to start sales.
I got to hold one a few years back and my general impression was that it was even worse ergonomically than the Tavor .308. Extraordinarily ass heavy, like Brazilian bombshell ass heavy.
Is the only option for buying them ordering directly from them using their configurator thing? I've never seen one in a store. I would be nervous to buy one used on GB if the warranty does not get transferred since they seem to have QC issues.
Their QC issues are resolved as far as I know, have been for a while now. Their gen 1 rifles had issues ever since the MDR”x” came out they seem good to go
>Only if you sit down while shooting.
I sit down while shooting because I can't hold my gun up for more than 45 seconds.
Even in 5.56 guise they’re nearly 8lbs, because everything with the gun is meant to interchange with .308. So it’s lightish for a .308 gun, heavyish for a 5.56 gun. You take the pros with the cons, just like everything else. If it suits you, it suits you. If not, get something else.
It never existed and was never planned on existing. The floor model was a 3d printed shell. All they wanted was to sell an airshit clone because Magpul can't make anything but plastic.
I've decided that I'm going to design a bullpup, basically a product improved RDB with a few ideas I've had, based around an action that prevents double feeds and other nightmare jams that the RDB can potentially have.
Contrarians eternally seething about their irrelevant meme configuration. These threads are a bottomless well of cope. Keep being a joke, bullpuphomosexuals.
>Bullpups are the unrecognized future of firearms
And have been since the 80s. That's 40 years.
What comes first:
A) year of linux desktop
B) paperless office
C) bullpup as future of firearms
D) OP stops being a dipshit
There are absolutely things that can be done mechanically to improve bullpup triggers
Honestly I’m really not sure why transfer bars are the default option, the idea of pushing a long flexible rod to interface with the FGC is pretty fricking moronic, I’d imagine even if you just configured it to pull on a stiff cable to interface with the FGC you’d have a massive improvement, but there are ways to completely avoid transferring the trigger pull entirely, look at that crazy ass Soviet Bakelite bullpup monstrosity, I forget what it’s called but the fire control group is in the front of the gun, it basically just shoots a striker backwards into a hammer at the rear of the gun
NTA but I have a couple bullpups and shoot virtually exclusively in the woods, much of it being pretty brush heavy overgrown areas. I have never had even slight difficulty reloading either of them from prone.
Thats literally an objective improvement over the current “”””””””””meta”””””””””” of artistically short ARs for le high speed low drag operator operations
Because they don’t actually care about practicality as much as they care about larping as the US military or competition shooting
If the US military swapped to a bullpup, these people would follow and then proceed to shit on everything else
Also, for home defense the difference between a bullpup and a short barreled AR means frickall because the ballistics of your cartridge aren’t all that important when you’re shooting someone that’s 10 feet in front of you and not prepared to retaliate
> Also, for home defense the difference between a bullpup and a short barreled AR means frickall because the ballistics of your cartridge aren’t all that important when you’re shooting someone that’s 10 feet in front of you and not prepared to retaliate
I mean bullpups have a longer barrel with shorter length overall so technically using 5.56 in that situation the bullpup would be better as the barrel travel time would put a nicer spin on the bullet
You’re correct, but for the context of home defense that isn’t really important. For military use and long distance engagement a bullpup makes a lot more sense since those improved ballistics actually make a difference while utilizing the space in the receiver a lot more efficiently and giving you a smaller and more well balanced rifle
If you forgo the ballistic advantages you can also make a very, very compact PDW
moron here, the only gun i have is an ar15 my grandad willed to me. i'm a lefty shooter and have heard that most bullpups suck for leftys. is there one that a lefty would recommend?
>Left handed AUG
when i go on the steyr site they have a left handed bolt, do i just buy a normal aug and replace the bolt? >learn to shoot like a normal human.
i'm right handed so i'd love to, but i'm blind in my right eye
MDR is very ambi friendly and can be converted to eject from the left side in like, 15 seconds tops just by swapping the left and right plates. VHS/Hellion is almost as ambi friendly and can be configured to eject from the left side in like 5min by swapping one pin and flipping the bolt around so the ejector is on the other side. Both need no extra parts for the swap.
Kel Tec RDB has objectively the best design, but the worst QC.
Why shouldn’t I get a kektek defender? I heard they can also do the HK slap and I think they look cool
The defender uses a lighter barrel than the regular RDB. If you want an RDB just get the normal ones.
I heard they jam alot and apparently have a poor ejection pattern that throws the brass down into your forearm.
I've also heard the same about the ksg and ks7. you can get a shell deflector to help with the ejection pattern on the ksg and ks7, I'm not sure about the rdb though.

You heard wrong.
Proof?
I want you to be right, because I'm considering getting a ks7 since they are gorgeous to me. I also would really like a rdb but I'm worried about them both jamming.

Only way I can get my RDB to jam is to turn the gas all the way down, then shoot steel case.
>Brass on forearm
Only if you sit down while shooting.
It's very cool/10.
>Only if you sit down while shooting.
I sit down while shooting because I can't hold my gun up for more than 45 seconds.
Sitting while shooting is fantastic
From semi to shotgun to handgun, it makes you more stable and you can really focus on your handwork
>muh tactical scenario where I need to move
irrelevant, I shoot for fun and hunts
If you are that weak I don't care about your opinion.
AUG is best bullpup. I will not elaborate.
AUG
ACOG
Surefire
A man of taste.
facts need no elaboration, AUG KING.
I think I'd like them better if they didn't always look like toys.
AUG forever and always. Cope, seethe and dilate ARtrannies
>Second best thing to come out of Austria
Hope you're talking about glocks annon
Best bullpup is the general dynamics RM277. Next question.
After getting used to the RDB the hellion feels like a bloated piece of shit.
AUG has the shittiest trigger pull though
They're so aesthetic and nothing else matters.
Keltec pups look like a lego character shat them out
HNNNNNNNNNGGGGGG
I do want a bullpup .308 or at least a light .308/Sneedmoar. Are they any good?
The two best options are the Tavor 7 or the MDRX. So do you want to fund israelites or Mormons?
Mormons every day motherfricker. All Laminites will hang. Nephite masterrace rise up.
I wish they made a RFB that used 308 AR magazines
send this pic to Kel TEC with a large bag of cocaine
Available Bullpups in the US, new and used:
Kel-Tec - RFB
kel-Tec - RDB
IWI - Tavor SAR
IWI - Tavor X95
IWI - Tavor 7
Bushmaster - M17S
K&M - M17S-556
K&M - M17S-308
Steyr - AUG
FN - FS2000
HS Produkt - VHS-2
Desert Tech - MDRx
FAMAS (rare)
IIRC there are some QBZs in private collections and some 10-13 select fire Singaporean SAR-21s in private collections, too.
Dont forget about the PS90 now, you need the better FN bullpup
I think the p90 is very cool, but 5.7 is way too expensive for what it is.
Is there a current production bullpup with charging similar to the sa80?
Why in God's name would you want that/
Larping in my britbong dpm.
Some of you lads are all right
Don't go to the chippy tomorrow
Stribog
Looks cool. Stribog is just a crap name. I know thats a stupid reason to not like something but come on, It sounds like the name of a goblin.
Look at it it is a goblin
Its the slavic Wind god
Stop your Jtac shilling, we all know they aren’t going to release it anytime soon and are just trying to artificially generate hype. You can resume the shill when they actually give a date to start sales.
Scoprion
ak
I love it. Where can I buy it?
wtf is this and where do i buy it
https://cbrps.com/product/akx1s/
Springfield M1A
You know what frick you
>bullpups your pistol
you are like baby
Am I fool for wanting a MDRX, especially the sbr conversion. It's so cute.
No. The MDRx are supposed to be excellent now
I got to hold one a few years back and my general impression was that it was even worse ergonomically than the Tavor .308. Extraordinarily ass heavy, like Brazilian bombshell ass heavy.

I just don't want to have to pull my gun downwards, anon.
Okay. I’m not going to try and sell you on the idea of buying that gun. They’re just supposed to be good now when they used to be meh.
Pretty sure warranty gets transferred
You are right, I believe warranty transfers to all new owners of new/used mdr or mdrx owners
SKS
Mussy 500
Ruger 10/22
HiPoint Carbine 10mm
whats even the point of non bullpup guns? like why would they even make a gun thats not a bullpup if theyre longer unnecessarily
The NeverEverTM
what is this beauty?? i need it bad
Magpul PDR, you’ll never own a real one because it got canceled but you can always buy an airshit copy
when im rich enough ill have them manufactured for the /k/ommandos only
It never existed and was never planned on existing. The floor model was a 3d printed shell. All they wanted was to sell an airshit clone because Magpul can't make anything but plastic.

C, then A, then B. Never D
Why do British People like bullpups so much?
Terrible triggers and there is nothing you can really do about them. So I just discard them and the idea as trash.
There are absolutely things that can be done mechanically to improve bullpup triggers

You can pivot the gun left or right, moron. Guns aren't locked into an upright position for eternity.
>t. nogunz who never shot a bullpup from prone.
shut up homosexual.
NTA but I have a couple bullpups and shoot virtually exclusively in the woods, much of it being pretty brush heavy overgrown areas. I have never had even slight difficulty reloading either of them from prone.
>unrecognized future of firearms
only thing they offer is a longer barrel at a relatively shorter OAL/package.
That's literally fricking it.
Thats literally an objective improvement over the current “”””””””””meta”””””””””” of artistically short ARs for le high speed low drag operator operations
Serious question, if bullpups are so good why do none of the tacticool Black folk on youtube use them as their primary SHTF / home defense rifle?
Because they don’t actually care about practicality as much as they care about larping as the US military or competition shooting

Because theyre tacticool fudd morons who want to play COD irl

Ever see the fireball from a CQB length AR?
moron here, the only gun i have is an ar15 my grandad willed to me. i'm a lefty shooter and have heard that most bullpups suck for leftys. is there one that a lefty would recommend?
Left handed AUG or learn to shoot like a normal human.

kk, thanks anon
