You just gotta wonder: Why don'T they donate the rest of their Leopard 2 then? I thought K2 and Abrams are so much better and they already have them?
>Why don'T they donate the rest of their Leopard 2 then? I thought K2 and Abrams are so much better and they already have them?
Maybe for leverage to get a better deal from the Germans for moar Leopards?
>Brief reminder that PiS operates a shill-network called Cqt@Net, just like the russians, which is hell bent on trashing everything german.
And that's a good thing.
PS: the Leopard 1 is a shitty tank that has paper mache armor and can be disabled with a 14.5mm HMG. The only reason it's being used in Ukraine is out of desperation, kinda like the Donbabweans and the Lugandans with T-55s andd T-62s.
This. Maybe the Poles would trash the Germans less if they weren't SO FRICKING SLOW. Also the Krauts being buckbroken by the RusBlack folk after WWII isn't an excuse because Poland was occupied for EVEN LONGER
Because unlike the literal brain dead Russians that people should exterminate we in the west actually give a shit about crew survivability. Frick the tank we can build new one training takes forever
Huge explosions =! penetration
Just look at all of those Hamas videos, they shoot a rocket that makes a big explosion but barely dents the Merkava tanks.
It means that just because there's no videos of Leopards getting shit done, there are no Leopards getting shit done.
There are no videos with AMX-10RC to my knowledge, but there are interviews with crews describing their pros and cons.

Ukie crews love the Leopards to bits. Somewhere there's an interview with a 2A6's gunner who spends the entire time praising the 2A6's sights and thermals, while the other crew comment on how safe it is and how it moralises infantry around them.

French army here. Not Cav but talked to guys in Cav. It breaks down much less and is much easier to maintain than a regular tank however it cannot be used like one. Its armour is dog shit and would suffer severely in a place like Ukraine where mobile warfare is not being taken to the extreme. The AMX serves French interests well but it's getting old and that's why they're replacing it with the Jaguar. Other French vehicles suck aswell. Griffon is like an MRAP but shittier and the VABs old and not very well protected
How far could the Leopard gun shoot vs Bradley's gun? You not gonna see Leopards and their targets in the same frame simply because they can fire at their target from hella far. Where Bradley has to drive up close to use their gun.
>you see, we simply MUST dispose of this devilish "tank tread". >in its place, I shall fashion a contraption that I have dubbed the "wheel" to take its place. >being round in shape, the "wheel" will allow our tank to traverse all manner of inclement terrain, by simply rolling over it! >in addition, this "wheel" can be crafted of solid metal to better withstand the same explosive forces that a tank is expected to survive. >brilliant!
[some time later...] >drat! >the "wheel" is simply insufficient for the task! >in softer terrain, the heavy tank simply settles into the muck and grime, and becomes immovable. >in addition, our metal "wheels" suffer on bumps and rocky terrain! >if only there were a way to better distribute the weight of our tank to the ground, and spread out the shocks of sharp terrain, AND increase the traction of our "wheels", all with a single stroke... >by Jove, I have it! >if we link the "wheels" together with some manner of belt, then we just might have an answer! >a belt of some fashion would allow a tank to glide over rocky terrain, help to prevent our tank sinking into murk, and give better traction in any terrain! >oh, but our belt would have to withstand the rigours of combat... >our belt would have to be fashioned out of something stout, like metal, while remaining flexible, like fabric... >Eureka! >I shall fashion plates out of metal, and link them together like the fine jousting armours of old! >yes, these "links" shall be fashioned into a "tread"... >the "tank tread", I shall call it—! >wait a fricking minute...
They're a far better alternative than tires. Unless you somehow miraculously figure out anti-gravity tech, tracks are still gonna be the way to go for the rest of the century.
that would make it around 39 years then.not sure how he managed to mix them up since they look so diffrent.
im fricking drunk and i was laughing hard enough to make my eyes tear when i saw the video of ukrainians jumping out of the tank seemingly unhurt
sorry
Oh I'm sure they're perfectly fine mate, just put the burnt area under some cold running water for 10 minutes and they'll be ready to go in a new tank, no probs.
>The superiority of western equipment.
But you know what? Ukros started losing territory and losing fights in general when soviet gear got depleted and they had to start using western stuff.
>Russian tank drives over mine, >Entire crew gets promoted to cosmonauts >Turret gets launched directly towards the International Space Station >Russia makes valuable engineering contribution to permanent space habitation
Isn't the only combat video of a challenger the one it gets absolutely merked by a FPV Alibaba drone which for reference only caused blowout panels to go off in leos ?
That's a big fricking explosion after they drove over the mine. Looks like a 155mm HE equivalent shell going off.
The turret cheek seems to have taken massive damage and the gunner seems to be stunned.
I can't believe that an artillery shell landed on top of the turret cheek, too little damage.
Here's me trying, let's see if someone actually wants to discuss this or just shitpost/troll.
One option might be electric final drive with in wheel motors in every roadwheel. You could still use tracks but you could still limp off detracked as long as the ground is somewhat hard.
>tank so well protected you have to mobility kill it with heavy artillery to win
Literally the Kv-1/2 all over again
Tanks are not obsolete they just need to be tankier and forget about the 80mph meme

Literally nobody was talking about the leopard 1
Can you even read?

Ok, what are the negatives?
>they already have them
no they don't
This. Maybe the Poles would trash the Germans less if they weren't SO FRICKING SLOW. Also the Krauts being buckbroken by the RusBlack folk after WWII isn't an excuse because Poland was occupied for EVEN LONGER
Yeah. All tanks should be hover-tanks because gravity and mass are illusions.
only one I need
I like how it isn't exploded and the crew is completely unharmed
They even stayed behind to help the TC out, unfathomable
>Huge ass explosion
>entire crew survived somehow
>No visible damage
how in the frick?
Western designs prioritize crew suitability.
reminds me of the Leopard 1 in the field, that was disabled by a nearby artillery shell
the hull looked absolutely undamaged

>unknown technology blyat
The Ukrainians sold their souls to Czernobog and were granted eternal life, for as long as the war lasts.
Blow out panels and compartmentalized ammo storage.
Another Leopard lost. What a meme tank.
Thanks get destroyed in a war, anon.
What's even the point? Do we have a single video of a Leopard getting shit done? Bradleys have such videos
Absence of evidence is not an evidence of absence.

who? i just hate tank tracks, they're the weakest shit in an expensive vehicle.

They're paying him toilet paper but he refuses to use it.
>60-year old western tank with basically paper for armor
>russian mines can't do more than mission kill it
It looks like a Leopard 2A4 to me, not a 1A5.

If it was Russian that crew would be incinerated already.
idk about other anons but
>Great news! This battalion is getting German tanks!
>YAAAY!
>Leopard 1 arrives
I would be beyond bummed.
>drives over antitank mine
>throws a track
>otherwise undamaged
>no cookoff or fire
>unharmed crew exits in an orderly and calm fashion
The superiority of western equipment.
Russian version.
Any aftermath pics of the crew from these explosions?
Oh I'm sure they're perfectly fine mate, just put the burnt area under some cold running water for 10 minutes and they'll be ready to go in a new tank, no probs.
I don't think there would be many remains left given the way the turret went low orbit. at least it was quick
Is he ok?
atgm dude
Wow, you've got good eyes anon! : )
holy shit they're just gone

Germans can’t into tank design. Notice we don’t have 30 videos of the challenger being BTFO
Export sales say otherwise nigel
Insufferable

tanks with legs are the solution
whoa ... is that Sora no Woto? Watched that a decade+ ago, pretty certain there's a couple brief scenes with mecha-tonkus like that.
Sora no Woto spider tanks were clunkier
Could be Genocidal Organ or Eighty-Sixers
huh
Guess what?
I'm surprised, too.

It's Sora no Woto.
t. livewatched it with PrepHole in 2010
Thanks.
