It may be capable to remain mobile for the entirety of the mission, which may be a good thing in difficult terrain.

Now just bolt some dual machine guns and let them go around terrorizing the entire range, I think it should still be remote-controlled and work in short range deployments, scaling it up to put a human inside won't make much sense due defeating the whole idea of having an expendable drone and we may still have a hard time finding a long-lasting energy output due square-cube law and AI may have to reach AGI levels to make it autonomous.

Look at the pic you posted, now imagine that thing is the size of the second one. Now scale the weight, friction, etc. and understand why it doesn't work. Now stop obsessing over this and making several threads a day.

For starters I didn't make the one with Atlas, then, if you read again I pointed out at the square-cube law and why I don't believe it should be scaled up.

I don't see the problem. Amazon has literally run out of humans to enslave in certain regions.

most impressive thing about the gecko is how compact it could make itself. thing was able to crouch down low enough to fit inside a elevator.

Have people been arguing that legged robots were infeasible? The argument as I've seen it is that legged robots can make sense at near human scales, but morons consistently try to turn that into "mechs are feasible replacments for tanks" which is BS. Hell a lot of the time people concede that blurry space between mini-mecha and power armor couldn't be fully ruled out.

I will argue it. At ANY scale, tracks, wheels or wings are better than legs for a combat vehicle. Lower COG, lower ground pressure, faster, lower overall weight.

      >step over obstacles
Climb them with tracks. Tracks can go on a steeper incline than bipeds.
      >jump
You could engineer jumping into the suspension of wheels or tracks, we don't because it isn't useful.
      >See/shoot more because you're higher.
This is a bad thing, and if we wanted it for vehicles we would do it with adjustable ride height suspension or a telescoping perescope, like you see on GSR and some TDs.

The human form is not optimised for land combat with projectile weapons. A tank is
