you do realize at least 5 other people think this only happened to them.
Very true, best part is when three years from now you're talking to one of them and they tell you they just had a major plumbing problem and called the "dead" plumber and he came right out and fixed it.
may he rest in peace.
may he live to deceive another customer

Is it wrong in this instance to find their wife on facebook and message them? Pretty much this same situation happened to me but it was a 5 year warranty and I found the wife through my towns facebook group and messaged her. I didn’t expect her to fix my solar panels, but I thought she would be able to give me some kind of compensation, maybe 40% towards the repair. She blocked me and a friend sent me a screenshot of her ranting about me on the town page but i couldn’t see it because she blocked me and I didn’t have my right of reply. What is worse is that most of the people on their sided with her. She literally has my money by proxy of her husband doing work for me to a substandard level. Don’t give a warranty if you aren’t going to back it. In my opinion it is immoral to make such claims and not back them. A 40-60% compensation isn’t too much to ask from the wife or family in my opinion. I am still yet to see any money back and have been subject to public ridicule due to my messaging of the wife.
people's debts die with them
The debt was with a business.
then direct your inquiry to the business, not the man's wife you fricking moron.
no
only if she didn't accept his assets after his death is she free from his debts
Laws vary by location. The world is a large place.
yes, they vary
but I doubt you can name a place where you can inherit money while ignoring the debts

Malawi
I can't find any evidence that you are right. The only thing I found was a passage in their inheritance law that could easily be misunderstood by you.
lol, I bet there's a israelite out there did that unironically
What? Faked his death to avoid paying warranties?
Yes Many such cases
demand compensation after warranty repair they offered for free on their side, you israelite
resurrect the plumber lol
Gonna need one hell of a plunger
