LCA?

I've been looking these LCA (low cost automation) vids on youtube. Is it me or are those examples basically overly elaborate setups that accomplish nothing?

>holy shit that box came from the opposite side, now it's back on the opposite side!

Have you guys seen examples of this that actually have a point?

Why not use these goofy videos to come up with an idea yourself? Some of them look useful but yeah why would they go to the trouble of the video and not make some kind of reasonable thing its used for. I saw a ball be moved around in a box.

you are an idiot as well. the DEMO units show what you can possibly do with it. apparently it would have to be custom tailored to the business and what they need it to move and what other steps they require. have any of you morons seen the inside of a factory or watched any videos of how factories work?

seriously just go back to your moms basement and forget life.

That's what I mean you fricking moron. Who crawled up your ass? What matters are the motions shown. Not explaining myself further. I was telling him to think of his own uses if you can't figure that out you might need to have a nice day.

those small scale DEMO units dont do anything but demonstrate how it works. its when you have an entire factory with a widescale version that does many many other things that makes it useful. seriously can you be any more moronic

Do your rants answer the following question:
      >Have you guys seen examples of this that actually have a point?
It doesn't appear that they do.

        >samegay
Also the video clearly shows moronic cases. I was just telling OP to think of his own, in a nicer, less moronic way that you did. You are a loser and will clearly never amount to anything. Its one thing to call OP gay etc but you are a homosexual who can't read.

This is like watching a car advert and saying wow a big metal box on wheels just moves around places what's the point of that?
People who buy these already are familiar with similar machines and mechanisms and understand exactly what's happening here.

No it's not, I've seen cars do useful things.

This is warehouse stuff. There are many places inside a distribution center where a person will stand in one place and put items into totes according to orders all day, and mechanisms for quickly and automatically getting those totes in and out of those areas are important for making that a job you can do without hurting yourself.

If you look at 0:44min, you can see a similar system in use very briefly. Given that boxes are used throughout the whole factory floor, it is safe to say that there are dozens, or maybe even hundreds of similar setups. The idea is that the parts resupply traffic does not go through the work zone. So you have the part to be worked on in the middle, then the workspace with the worker, farther out the material and parts supply setup, and on it's other side the resupply traffic. From the resupply traffic area the full boxes move through the parts supply setup to the worker, and the empty boxes go the other way.
Even second saved in each step add up over many years of having the production line active.

that your company is going to do a half assed implementation that doesn't work and pay a "consultant" shit tons of money to do so.
Everytime some gaijin fails to implement TPS in their factory you can almost hear them laughing from across the sea

Yeah been there. But the place I work really needs this sort of effort though, we're almost litterally tripping over our shit. A lot of time going to waste.

When I worked at Toyota, they did a pretty solid job implementing TPS...

It's absolutely worth starting a small factory, if you have something in mind to manufacture.
I would do it if I had something in mind to make. Perhaps large double wheeled wheelbarrows. They seem to cost way more than they should.

got no clue what factory that is, but building these contraptions adds up fast, shit's expensive.
