>soviet prototypes
How would we know, they never got built.
And if they did get built, it's pretty clear at this point that they would just be another superfluous T72 hull deathtrap developed to pay for more yachts.
the jump from concept/prototype to production has been demonstrably problematic for plenty of tanks including but not limited to Soviet ones so this is an unreasonable assumption
The 292 was obviously a test for Gaijin to gauge how the players feel about a 152mm APFSDS slinger. I hope the 195 becomes part of the main tree, instead of being locked behind an event.

but why? is it designed to be used on a hull down position but keep the gun and turret armor of the abrams? i suppose the US had a shitload of m60s hulls after the abrams replaced them
anti turbine propagandists will never learn. The turbine is better. If you had it your way you would fly "Simpler soviet planes known for their rugged reliability."
This is why the army doesn't listen to fricking morons. The Turbine's one flaw is idle fuel consumption, that is being fixed with APUs to run the tank at idle. Problem is solved. All you fricking goobers do is parrot information.

Just pretend they were competent

Obj. 195 aka pre-Armata.
Bring her back /k/
I give it a year or two to appear on War Thunder.
They just added the Obj 292.

The next ones will probably be the 140mm Abrams, Leclerc Terminator, Leo 2-140.
War thunder has had the Obj. 120 a 152mm dart slinger for years now.
Like the 292, it's a glass cannon but even worse since it has paper armor.
what an absolute monstrosity
Looks like E-100 hull with big gun
Speaking of WT, this was on the leak list.
the turret being much larger compared to the gun looks odd. is it the same 120mm gun?
It looks weird because that's an M60 hull.

I believe it was for export.
This was made for countries who could neither afford the Abrams nor wanted to adopt its high-maintenance fuel-guzzling turbine.

How would the driver get out?
It's for export, so non-americans fit within fine.
Good question. I have no idea.
Where Object 477, my beloved?
Object 187, being an actually realistic project which fixed many of the T-72's major issues (obsolete power pack & armour layout)
Yatagan was better
BTW was there ever an explanation on why the larger gun was dropped for the Armata?
They didn't manage to do it yet and AFAIK they've planned to upgrade it later
Mom, I posted it.
What could have been.
Kino. Finally weapon thread. /k/ is healing after that reddit cope raid.
490B and Black Eagle (640).
