a lot of tours have stopped because of the insane number of fatalities the modified ones they use seem to create.
Eh they're not really any more dangerous than they were in 1945, and only slightly more dangerous than any other vehicle of the era. People just take for granted that cars are safe now.
You're under selling the fact many of these ducks have been in service since before many of us were born. Coupled with the fact they've been modified far beyond their limited use case, and the usual slack in maintenance standards which lead to said fatalities. Damn things are a death trap.

Tour operators make a bunch of modifications to them that make them top heavy and catch the wind more easily (installing big canopies for instance) when they already sit low in the water and have a weird center of mass. Then they take them out in rough waters that they were never designed for and you end up with a predictable and dumb disaster. A large extended family died on a lake in the US several years ago in this exact scenario, the duck capsized suddenly and most of them drowned trapped in that stupid canopy.

Kenya produced good runners for sports so the white world gave them tons of aid to assist.
The last thing kenya was known for on the world stage was having over a billion in aid for olympics just go missing.
