Aren't the Soviet Ural motorcycles with the sidecars basically clones of the R75s?
Should be trivial to just get one and repaint it into German colours
Not a specialist in motorisation, but this likely is Opel Blitz. Really makes you think that 80 years ago people made stuff that are functional to this day, I wonder how come you rarely see trucks from 80's or even 90's working
Also: >call Ukrainians nazis for 6 months and 9 days >make them paint white crosses on their trucks and tanks >make them make reconstruction of old military operation in actual war >make Guderienko vel Guderian arose from the dead
kek
>I wonder how come you rarely see trucks from 80's or even 90's working >laughs in Australian
Come here and you'll see countless old Ford and Holden utes and Hiluxes still cruising the roads every day
>tfw live near Port Adelaide and see heaps of shitbox Fairlanes and Kingswoods being driven around as crusty daily drivers on a regular basis >tfw South Australia has the second oldest car fleet in the country after Tasmania
There's someone who lives around here that I occasionally see tootling around in a beat up Holden FJ. Our Holden stationwagon is 'young', being an '09 model. I was parked in it at Rosewater Foodland recently and realised that my car was the second newest car there. This place is like a time machine.
I live five minutes from the water in FL. I've also lived in parts of the country where the average car was made in the 00s or even 1990s. They can last a long, long time with maintenance.
I don't know about the east coast (Sydney, Melb, etc.) but here in South Australia the weather is similar to Arizona or New Mexico. Our state is the driest state in the driest country on the second-driest continent (after Antarctica), which turns out to be pretty top tier for preserving vehicles and keeping them going forever. Dust and sand doesn't really do any harm beyond clogging up filters or, in combination with the harsh sun, ruining your clearcoat. Rust is pretty much a non-factor.
Ah I live in Sweden so we get a lot of rust death although you can avoid it with prevention and welding, my daily is a 1989 chevy c2500 coming up on 400k km
Countries with rust sound like sheer hell. How do you even have a used-car market if everything gets rusted constantly?
>Chevy c2500
Noice. Pic rel's my '05 Commodore, coming up on 96000km.

>How do you even have a used-car market if everything gets rusted constantly?
Rust is only a problem for cars made by companies with shitty rust protection.
I haven't seen a rustbucket car from PSA groupe (peugeot/citroen) since the x05 series.. On my old x07 series pug the zinc coating was the thickness of a human fingernail. Not a single spot of rust despite 450+ thousand kilometers on the odo and no additional coasting of rustproofing either by me or all the previous owners it had
It will spit out the engine and the electrics will melt, but the chassis/body is eternal.
it really makes you realize how penny pinching these fricking israelite companies are. They will charge you some ridiculous amount for basic shit like OE rubber floormats but spending 20USD per car extra on a hot-dip they could easily pass on to the customer anyways makes them go oy vey.

Not to excuse israeliness, of which there is a lot in the auto industry (as there is in most industries these days unfortunately), but have you ever seen the profit margins for car manufacturing? I find it genuinely amazing that the car exists as a mass produced product and that there are as many car companies as there are, considering how little money there tends to be in it.

/n/iggers are right on this.
Car as an appliance available to the every single individual regardless of financial status and not a toy for the clique of rich paedophiles only exists because of governments that are successfully lobbied into pouring unimaginable amounts of money to prop up the industry.
All of the infrastructure required to keep cars as a viable mode of transportation anywhere on this planet does not make sense financially and does not pay for itself, never did and never will.
Coupled with govt bailouts every odd year as soon as any carmaker's board of directors notices the yearly bonuses are going to be 1% smaller.

/n/iggers are right about a lot of things but I refuse to admit it because they're so fricking insufferable about it to the point of making me want to get a big fat V8 or diesel that I don't need out of pure spite

I hate /n/ with their "cager" shit but they're generally right. Public transportation just makes sense from a government perspective, where providing easy and cheap transport helps the economy and thus grows your tax base. Cars are insane as a national transport solution because the costs involved, both to the government and to people, not to mention making every major city into installable hellholes with so many parking lots literally half a given cities surface is dedicated to roads, parking, service stations, etc. We make cities for cars and not for people and that's fricked up and ruined our sense of community.
My screed has been scred, thanks for reading.

back in the day it lead to a lot of silly customization from people welding and stuff on the cars https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMsN05FxtHk it's in Swedish though
Aye, what with the (now defunct) Holden plant and all that. >Foodland
Shit I miss that, now that I'm out of SA. IGA is NOT the same, no matter what they say.
looks like they had a few in some car collection museum and then used them in war since 2014, kinda crazy
The swiss army had these trucks in service until around 2010. So when Ukraine was scrambling for equipment just a few years later a few were probably still sitting in some dealers lot.
A company I worked at bought a set of 45 ex-swiss 230GE (LWB, open top, from the 80s and early 90s) those things were abobawdely immaculate
cute
The frick? Give me some
<looks like GAZ 51
no it doesn't
GAZ-51 has a split windshield
Ukes did capture one of those with a big red Z painted on the front yesterday or the day before though
Ok, this is taking the LARP a bit too far What's next, R75's with sidecars gunning down retreating russoids?

They are, the US helped them to copy it iirc. The R75 will last you a lifetime according to boomers.

I know it;s not Opel Blitz but resemblance, greyish tone of 4BO and white cross have those glorious vibes.
Azov in 2014 btw

Never come to Finland
Most of the population here can't afford a car as new as '09
How rusty do the cars in australia get anyway I dont imagine you use road salt but sand cant be that good?

Is using ww2 equipment against the russians considered psychological warfare?
What the frick is a Saurer 2DM doing over there?
Looks more like a Saurer then a Blitz indeed. Still sixties/seventies stuff, but since Swiss probably still working flawless.

How many years are between one vehicle and the other
literal using every looted Nazi WWII gears in this war.
Also credit to the German engineering that this still works after for so long
It's not that old, not german either
WTF, Omnissiah
So what are your opinion of this new Orc Truck?
