I certainly hope the kommuna isn't destroyed
she's a good girl, she doesn't deserve this
>she's a good girl, she doesn't deserve this
She's served three evil masters in a row.
a ship can't choose her owners anon
she's innocent
Despite her age, she's still an active duty Russian warship that supports Black Sea operations. It sucks, but Ukraine can't just turn a blind eye to her.
it's not fair anon
the mriya, the kommuna
the russians are truly heartless devils
Kommuna on track to join this gang...
I can fix her.
dont talk about her like that, she's innocent
Better for her to rest finally. The Muscovites were never gonna let her retire as a museum ship. She'd be kept afloat until incompetence or absent maintenance, or both, got her sunk in a far more humiliating way.
A zigger in another thread about Kommuna called museum ships "homosexual LARP."
Also consider they left Su-47 outside to rust in a boneyard.
>Also consider they left Su-47 outside to rust in a boneyard.
Awful.
Honestly besides the historical value such ships provide (which is more than enough to justify keeping them), could any of them be reactivated and used for anything?
I doubt it's been stored correctly and it's not in a nice dry boneyard in the desert, so who knows what state it's all in. It's probably all corroded to shit.
Well let's just assume they're perfectly structurally sound, that all they need is to be gassed up and loaded and they're ready to go, would they be anything but cannon fodder?
the battleships are going to be fairly useless because they're battleships and their doctrinal role has been obsolete since 1942, the aircraft carriers could probably be perfectly serviceable with an upgraded radar package (and even then, not much, some of the ww2 carriers were being used as trainers until the 1990s)
Also they removed some of the armor on the USS Texas during its refit. I don't know how much, but I believe the torpedo belt is gone entirely and replaced with foam or something.
The bawd got what she deserved
Kommuna and that hot but insane Russia prosecutor chick are the only Russians left who serve Tsar Nicholas. They should be protected for the day Putin is deposed and they go back to a monarchy.
>hot but insane Russia prosecutor chick
frick, I almost forgot about her.
She got demoted and sent off to some distant paper pushing job after she denounced the government. Chick believes that the tsar's ghost speaks to her and they should rule Russia again.
She's right
Is it actually all that mumo jumbo or does she just think imperial Russia was better
She got hit in the head when she was young
She's a literal schizo, gone far enough to be posting on /misc/ unironically. She could be on this board, or even in this thread.
>She could be on this board, or even in this thread.
I'm not
seems legit
HE'LL TURN INTO HER ANY SECOND NOW
SEE, RED!
no, wait, that's communism
>goes schizo and denounces the government
>doesn't get thrown out a window
They fear her power. Now I understand what's wrong with this whole invasion and why ti sucks so much more than 2014. It lacks the blessing of the Tsar.
Since Putin desperately wants to be Tsar Putin I, having someone who is hard plugged into Tsar worship might be useful if he can convince her that he is Nicholas II's rightly successor.
Nicholas II rightful successor lives in California.
I can fix you, Natalya
This is the spirit of the Tsar speaking to you, Nat. You must seize power in my name before it is too late!
I give it 1 to 6 odds that she ends up coming out of the civil war as the ruler of at least western Russia
the ghost of Tsar Nicholas (which speak through her) will prove much more effective at ruling in death than he ever was in life
She could be you! She could be me! She could even b
The irony being that even as a fricking lunatic she had both moral and logical objections to the attempt to annex Ukraine.
there is literal tsar nicky cult in russia. Its a offshot of their orthodox church, they basically belive nicolas was russia's jesus style messiah or something. (official russian orthodox church doctrine claims that he was "merey" a saint) . The cult is called Tsadebozhe or something like that.
>Chick believes that the tsar's ghost speaks to her
?si=gUYfraVH9TYmVQI8
Is her daughter just as crazy though? Her Bloodline needs to be preserved
>after she denounced the government
I wondered why /misc/ stopped spamming her all of a sudden a few years back
Unfathomably Based.
Russia truly went to shit after the Tsar was removed.
10/10 would restore monarchy with insane modern Joan of Arc.
Russia was always shit, Anon.
The Tsar was just putting some inbred Euro nobility ontop of the shit pile, and killing any vatnik that got funny ideas.
Which, don't get me wrong, is better than these subhumans leading themselves.
>if only you knew how bad things really are
guys I can fix her.
No, I can fix her before you! Séance sessions to contact Tsar are already booked.
Fix her?
I’d help her bring back Imperial Russia.
Reminder that she is against the war and got punished by being sent to be some secretary in some oriental shithole.
>and that hot but insane Russia prosecutor chick
She will be tried for treason first
I'M DENYING THE ENEMY SALAVAGING!
FOLLOW MY VOLLEY
i sincerely appreciate your effort
>she a gud gurls she dindu nuffin!
It's an honour for a WW1-era ship to be sunk with 2024 munitions
Guess it's better than slowly rotting away only to be scrapped
I'm not into ship construction but what causes that "rippled skin" look? You see if on plenty of other ships and usually only larger ones.
Pretty sure that's just imperfections in the paint that are made more obvious when in direct sunlight.
Dents in the outer hull plating.
Cheap construction methods require thinner hull plating. It is fine for what it is as long as that is what you paid for.
This happens when there are hull plates attached to structural ribbing. This is warp and flex in service
>Russian installed governor of occupied Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhayev said that this morning an attack by an R-360 Neptune anti ship missile was repelled. He claims a fire started due to falling debris.
PERFIDIOUS GRAVITY IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME
I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling Kyivs.
Literally invented by eternal Anglo to keep honest vatnik down to Earth
god, ukraine must have the most effective debris known to man, because every time they launch at something and get intercepted, the debris is enough to cause a massive fire that destroys the target anyway.
Reliable sources told me that she is fine, the fire went out on its own, damage is minor and Odecca will receive 9001 shaheedBlack folk today for doing this.
If Kommuna is indeed down then that's a sad loss, even though it's difficult to call the ship entirely "original". A ship which spent her life rescuing and bringing closure to others, I can respect that.
you can't convince me this drivel isn't being posted by seething thirdies in droves
Frick that shit/ship
You're subhuman.
it was inevitable
Its an old ship and has a lot of history but its been bubbafricked beyond saving and most parts aren't original. At least the Russians turned the Aurora into a museum. As much as people like to shit on Russians and their care for history they have more museums and display pieces than pretty much any European nation. Even considering the UK's history of having the largest navy to ever sail for half a millennia the only notable ships they have are HMS Belfast and HMS Victory meanwhile Russia has multiple cruisers on display and dozens of submarines, destroyers, and corvettes's as museum ships.
but Belfast and Victory are kept in tiptop condition and draw massive tourist crowds
museums are nice and all, but if they don't get good enough ticket sales to at least defray most of their costs, they're a PITA to keep up
True, but they also have multiple museum ships as cruisers, submarines, destroyers, and corvettes.
>True, but they also have multiple museum ships as cruisers, submarines, destroyers, and corvettes.
Qeq
When does she get refurbished and join the Black Sea fleet?
>they have are HMS Belfast and HMS Victory
And HMS Caroline and SS Great Britain and Cutty Sark. Also HMY Britannia. Those are the notable ones.
Caroline looks shit
UK history is more than 100 years old anon.
Sorry, wrong image.
what UK are you talking about?
The one that you seethe about every time it's mentioned.
Oh wow, they preserved more tallships than I thought. Too bad they didn't save at least one battleship or old carrier.
>Too bad they didn't save at least one battleship
yeah they really should have saved Warspite or at least Vanguard
but they were really strapped at the time
naturally as shipgays we'd have demanded at least a sailing frigate, a 74 and a battleship, but how many people would really know the difference AND pay to support them all? you gotta make a choice
Belfast is an excellent alternative IMHO, if there's anything emblematic of the 20th century British Empire, it's cruisers
It's sad, but I fully understand. Post-war economic situation was not good. Barely enough money to equip current forces. Forget about putting resources into keeping old stuff in good order.
Scrapping created jobs and put some money back into peoples' pockets. Even a lot of what was preserved only happened after it was becoming rundown in auxiliary roles and enough time had passed for people to say "Hey, we can keep and restore this."
This isn't yesteryears problem either. I can think of at least three ships already in US museums that were scrapped last year.
>they really should have saved Warspite or at least Vanguard
Screw that, they sold Dreadnought for scrap.
Motherfricking DREADNOUGHT.
They didn’t really have the money for museum ships back then.
Lewd
>dozens of submarines, destroyers, and corvettes's as museum ships
Because those WW2 relics were largely still in service until the end of the USSR.
I see, can you also post state of it before the attack?
If Kommuna-san likes sunken, wrecked ships so much, she should just become one herself.
There is just no fricking way! Where is the video and pics you wienersuckers? You Fricking Ukrainian Bandits!
It's taken over two years of war for Russia to take their first casualty anyone will miss.
I miss Pringles like you wouldn't believe. Now the war is boring as shit.
isn't there a Russian fringe party that wants to restart the tsar? It's ran by someone that claims bloodline lineage to ol' Alex or whatever
>isn't there a Russian fringe party that wants to restart the tsar?
There's a couple of those.
>The only Russian ship that I wanted to survive this war
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Obligatory, though I wish she could have been saved for last so that she could have been pardoned.
Sleep tight little snipper
Pls no bully Kommuna-chan
>It seems that Ukraine
BWAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!
These kinda posts with just a photo and all caps laughing are for sure written by fat neckbeard/ mall ninja dudes.
No because they're written by third worlder ESLs, that Serbian homosexual Mandic and his HD BBC porn folder being the most notable.
>take missile
>slap a few boosters on it
>range doubled
Why isn't this more common?
Cost is the main issue. It also increases the size and weight of the missile so it might not even fit in your existing launchers.
The original design for a missile had its balance, center of gravity, guidance, etc calibrated for the original design. Adding something like a new rocket booster makes it practically an entirely different missile, barring the warhead and guidance OS.
Sailor here. Regardless of who manned her, losing a ship that old is still rough to hear. If it were taken out of the Black Sea and moved into a museum dock, I'd be happy. But it's the nature of a warship to be in that peril. RIP the ship, screw the crew.
>russia stacks naval guns on its mtlbs
>ukraine stacks boosters under its naval missiles
Slavs matroska memes irl
It' ok guyse the ship was unharmed only the filthy port got hit. Obviously the Russians DIDN'T NEED the port anyway...
