Tank barrels are typically covered by a thin cover when combat isn't expected to prevent rust or road dust from damaging it. This often extends to when it is moving, keep looking at tanks enough and you will start to notice ones that have a thin film of plastic wrap taped over the muzzle, it keeps the barrel dry but you can just shoot through it.

this tank is taken off from a monument
the barrel is blocked so it doesn't collect water and rust the whole tank over the years
also all the turret control is probably welded solid
it's impressive it's still running (having engine and gearbox, because they usually take them off), tho
That's impossible they literally only have like a handful of these things, and with vatnik braggart numbers adjustment, that means there should only be one or two T-34s in parade order in the entire federation.
It is better to have a tank than to not have one.
Westerners have this strange notion that the military history museums are not in fact just a cleverly disguised weapon storages
Any grenade would do, really. Just plug the buss, pull the pin, point it in the direction of the enemy and pull the trigger. Might have to homierig a grenade adapter for it, but that should be easy.
>They're not kept operational.
Most of them are not operational, but some Kubinka museum pieces can move around.
Also, V-2 diesel used onr T-34 can be replaced easily with more modern analogs, since lots of possoviet diesel engines are V-2 derivatives.
>the military history museums are not in fact just a cleverly disguised weapon storages
I've had museum practice in uni and visited several other museums. Most of the guns they have are "deactivated", ruined on factory so nobody would steal and use them for their intended purpose. Unless that person is desperate enough to repair it, spending more money than gun of similar quality but better condition would cost on black market.
T 34 is so shittily designed and built its better to not waste resources and man hours building and training for it only for the thing to fie first chance from having no periscopes, armor, proper sights, radio, transmission gears.
T34, literally a death box engineered to break down, have no vision, spall.on non penetrating shots, all seemingly engineered to kill more russians.
So yes for ukranians its better that russians have t34 than no t34 cause 3 men with rifles are more effective and harder to kill.
>audio does not sync with video. is clearly edited in >video is cut as soon as the ATGM hits and there is no detonation from the tank
t34 survives cold war era ATGMs
Not quite a T-34, but the centurion took roughly 2 casualties per penetration from an ATGM
While the merkava only took 1 casualty per penetration
Higher casualties on the cent is possibly due to turret tossing rather than spall
So 1 casualty per penetration as per the merkava seems close
This makes sense when you consider that shaped charges really mostly on the armor itself for spall, compared to kinetic rounds where the mass of the shot itself adds to the damage
>survives
That's not what surviving looks like, anon, modern turret tosses happen due to modern ammo. Anyone inside that thing is pretty fricking dead.
except for the mobility and troop capacity and amphibious capability and HEAT shells and lack of spare parts; and the example in the OP appears to have a deactivated main gun
in every other respect (being obsolete and having tracks) it's basically a BMP
I think the two most plausible options are that they're simply using it as a traffic barrier, or there's somebody in the hull MG spot using it as a makeshift pillbox. Or both!

Yeah, I was thinking either decoy or a barrier that could be moved out of the way by a tractor or something but not rammed through with a car or truck.
Genuine question, why do pro russian's give a singular frick as to whether or not /k/ and by extension PrepHole agrees with them? What does the opinion of this board/website affect in a meaningful way?
they're paid to do it >but why
they're throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks, and they got a lot of shit to stick to /misc/ so they're trying to replicate it here
It's harder for them to recruit new western useful idiots to spread their propaganda for them with plausible deniability that it didn't come from them if other anons keep pointing out all the flaws in their dumb shit.
PrepHole has 22 million monthly visitors. Paying some third world shithole resident in peanuts that he shitposts here is a suprisingly good investment.
some people on PrepHole are genuine moron that will spam their opinions everywhere 24/24. if you can convince them of something then you have a perfect parrot that worth hundreds of vaguely motivated paid shills.

This.
Convincing lonely schizos to parrot your views (nonstop, for free) has been RussBlack person modus operandi for decades now. Solid chunk of "conspiracy theories" were made like this and then left to live their own life. Andropov invented this and even talked about it.

How does the spam filter on this website work? It seems to just randomly decide my post is spam and asks me to reformat. I tweak things I remove entire setences it seems to just think im spam unless i leave for awhile and come back?

Ever since gamergate russian shills have been using PrepHole to spread disinfo to useful idiots. Then won an entire election with it so i'd say its been pretty successful
Why the frick do you bunker trannies and /leftypol/ asshats think this board is in anyway open to your homosexualry? All because we like dead snowBlack folk doesn't mean we consoom your trite, NPC-tier bullshit. Frick off back to DU or wherever the frick lmao.

sauce?
It can't be.
Lysychansk
Barrel look blocked
It’s being repurposed as an APC.
Can't get blown up if your posse goes out and nails the motherfricker. Works every time.

I think I'd rather have the infantry and have them do what
said
Acp, you mean. Armored Carrier of Personnel

>Blunderbuss is fine.
Works as a grenade launcher.
Your move.
Where do you get black powder in the middle of a Himars attack?
The thing will surely work with smokeless powder too. At least once.
Where are you going to get 1600s grenades?
Any grenade would do, really. Just plug the buss, pull the pin, point it in the direction of the enemy and pull the trigger. Might have to homierig a grenade adapter for it, but that should be easy.
yeah

A crazy jap just shot Shinzo Abe with a homemade blunderbuss. So yeah, they're still lethal
did you know that Russia has Tsar Bo-- Cannon!?
With the proliferation of anti-tank weapons, it’s really not.
Most tanks in military history museums are in far from functional condition.
in western ones yes.
Have you ever actually seen inside a Russian museum tank? They're not kept operational. At all.
kerosene my good man, a bit of oil and cleaning and one rusty tank is operational.
>They're not kept operational.

A single AT4 could destroy a T34 from any direction
LAW*
Yes, having a glorified tractor, which is what that is since it has no functioning guns, is better than not having one at all
>Implying tank crews dont need to be trained, the tank dosent need fuel, the shells dont need to be made and spare parts dont need the be produced
Impossible. The oldest tank vatniks have are the T-55. Could be a joke, or a montage.
Indestructible.

There's so much spall it collides with other pieces in mid air, leaving the crew unharmed.
