They might not care, black mothers in chicago detroit and atlanta spend their lives raising kids that want to grow to be drill rappers and they all die for nothing, for corners and drugs and street cred

Probably that the war was really only ever about the Donbass. Once they lose land there too and/or Crimea they won't be able to lie anymore.

When that happens they'll just say "the real purpose of the war was to demilitarize the west by destroying their equipment in Ukraine" or something equally as dumb.

What's the cope going to be when they lose the land bridge to Crimea?

I would watch this livestream. Frick, I'd pay a PPV toll to watch this with a bowl of popcorn.

Why did they sacrifice so many men and equipment for a single bridge? They literally lost the entirety of their assault capable forces multiple times over.

If they still held Kherson when he posted this he would have said the feint was so they could capture Kherson.

4th tank guards is dead to a man. That's not a force you waste on a feint.

No, it’s ex post facto copium on an industrial scale.

The Russians now supposedly didn’t REALLY want to take Kiev and decaptitate the Ukie government, so that’s why they sent the cream of their army and their magnificent VDV there to get slaughtered and destroyed…

Nah, this time next year they will say the Kiev Feint never happened and all footage of it is fake israeli CGI psyop and there is no proof of it.

No, it's a blatant lie to save face after a humiliating defeat. The Kremlin's instructions to their own commanders emphasized speed, a decapitation strike, and a rapid disorientation of any AFU forces still struggling to resist. Do these morons even understand that moving forces from northern ukraine to south basically would have taken about as much time? Russia had the landbridge in like a week. Ukraine was still frantically pulling its forced together a month into the conflict

Why are vatniks proud of this?

First off, it's important to understand that this is *not* the official Russian narrative - the 5Dimensional chess master feint is just internet Russia simp cope. According to the Russian government, the retreat was a "gesture of goodwill" - which is kinda funny because it makes them look like total morons instead (we abandoned the most important objective voluntarily and got nothing in return)

That Ukraine is going to liberate Mariupol eventually? Yes.

No, a cascading series of actions resulted in a defeat. Basically:

    1. Their forces were insufficient for the tasks assigned (corruption, lack of manpower, poorly designed unit structure with insufficient supporting elements)
    2. They relied on overly optimistic projections (lack of Ukrainian preparation, disorganization, swift victories to propel further advances which would paralyze Ukrainian reinforcements, etc..)
    3. The USA broadcast their intentions to the whole world, which gave Ukraine more time to prepare, relocate units, and devise a better defensive plan

The ultimate result of this was that their timetable fell apart, units suffered huge losses, Ukraine was able to mobilize and ensure a longer war, the West was able to supply Ukraine with more weapons, etc.. We know this is what happened because Ukraine captured all the Russian documentation and timetables. Retreating from the North was their own option. Had they stayed, Ukraine would have bottled them up and killed them all, then turned south and finished off the rest. Retreating, as bad as it was, likely saved them from a much earlier defeat.
