Is there a way to make my own nitrogen solution for my ganja plant? I've seen it grown in a cup but it requires a lot of maxigrow or whatever the alternative may be. I am lazy and don't feel like buying it. Also does this look like a female plant to you, i know it's early to tell but still
Potting soil is fine until it matures. Any NPK fertiliser should do, some better than others. The ratios do matter but there’s a huge margin unless you really really need it to flower in 50 days.
I used the cheapest "flower potting soil". Right now it is growing on a windowstill, should i transfer it into a bigger pot later? Also my grandma has a garden, should i plant it in the ground then or leave it in a pot? If i do plant it in the ground, should i make a big hole and fill it with custom soil, or just use the dirt i dug up, it is a kind of mediterranean dirt, pretty dry and not very kind to plants
So when you transplant a plant like that you dig a hole little bit big because you can just fill it in, then you take the plant and remove it from its container being careful to not break the soil up and expose the roots to the air.
You then put that in the middle of the hole and fill the area around it with the dirt you dig out, packing it down firmly but not to hard. Then you water it so the soil will stick together.
Dirt is not potting soil. Clean dirt doesn’t contain many nutrients unless you fertilise it, potting soil is basically the remains of plants, roots and bark which is nutrient rich.
Engineered seeds are pretty sensitive so if you put it in the ground it may catch a disease or get eaten by a mold / out competed by an other plant, which is why the ‘professionals’ use sterilised soil or sand with added nutrients. You’ll need a bigger pot at some point, it will just stop growing when it goes out of nutrients or the root system becomes too big for the current pot
Grass clippings or used coffee grounds are probably the most accessible for the average person.
And you wont be able to distinguish sex until its coming out of vegetative stage iirc.
And yeah, if you have shitty soil you're going to want some good dirt around it if you put it in the ground.

The first thing to understand is the difference between primary nutrients and secondary soil components. Nitrogen is a primary nutrient.
Your plant (I ca't remember what you're growing) will require a very specific level of nutrients at a very specific time in it's lifecycle. You can google what that level is, it's not a mystery.
The next thing is working out how much of the given nutrient you already have through soil testing, if you can't work that out the next best thing is to buy bags of soil because these are pre-tested, tomato growers just buy bags of specially made up soil and this is often the best option.
Don't even consider guessing unless its impossible for you to soil test or buy bagged soil, you will fail through being lazy and will deserve that failure entirely.
You may actually have too much nitrogen and are poisoning your plant with too much fertalizer (the grandma kill), or nitrogen might not be your problem at all (the youtube kill).
This is why you should TEST YOUR SOIL OR BUY SOIL.
I grow tomatoes on a commercial scale, we start with trays of seedlings in a hot house that has electronic humidity control and watering, on a small scale you would have a propergator.
We then "pot up" by transfering the seedlings individually to larger pots, that way we ensure there is only one plant per pot.
I start with four times as many seeders as I actually want, and at every stage I pot up I discard the sick/extra plants.
All my soil is bought in pre-mixed, I don't frick around.or micromanage.
Every season without fail I produce hundreds on hundreds of large pots with fully grow tomatoes which people usually buy 8 or so of, whatever isn't sold is simply thrown out.
It's not worth my time actually picking the tomatoes or trying to store tomatoes or trying to sell tomatoes. This shortens my growing season to just a few months for the sake of labour efficiency because I don't want to employ 20 mexicans.
For organic use cow manure and you're own piss that's diluted before application.

you want JADAM liquid nitrogen fertilizer. take grasses, put in water, add some good native soil from under the fallen leaves of the biggest undisturbed tree in your area, put a lid on and wait 3 weeks, gonna need to dilute this
If you work with soil just compost yourself.
Ideally terracotta pot cause breathes, a bit of soil, leftover greens from the kitchen, soil to cover it, water when dry and stir every week or so
Used coffee grounds are also rich in nitrogen and you can just mix that into the soul, most coffee shops will give it to you for free cause its less waste they have to pay to process.

Urea does contain beneficial nitrogen for plants urine content changes from person to person, for example if you're on medications or you smoke you will usually excrete the waste through your piss. Also of note piss has stronger urea content at the start and end of your piss.
If that is female... you'll find out in another 4 weeks if white pistils pop out of the sides of your nodes.
I strongly recommend creating a living soil and spend a bit of money as the roots need a soft medium to grow; the more roots, the more plant
