None, camouflage is 99% an aesthetic choice and a meme.
dpm is lighter and more comfortable than (I assume) truspec bdus.

What is the point of the red in alpenflage?
It breaks up the darker colors and becomes really hard to spot at range. The red doesn't "pop" as much as you'd expect it to among browns and in built-up areas.

This map is kind of moronic anyway I live in a forested area that sees autumn and large snow accumulation in the winter yet it recommends six-color desert for my region. So I can only assume this was made by someone who just assumed what the rest of the country looked like.
