He is moving the goal posts because he cannot accept the truth, he probably never traveled abroad an he will die as stupid as he already is, there is no helping that kind of trailer trash don't even try
OP is a moron, but the alps aren't materially better than what you can find in whatever combination of rockies/cascades/alaskan ranges you want to choose. They're all probably roughly on par in most cases, but delusional to simply claim that the alps are better.
Argentina and Chile are pretty great. Nepal and China too. Canada is up there but so cold and remote it sort of flies under the radar. Costa Rica is good for how small it is (though the mountains have a much different feel). Pic is the Hindu Kush mountains.
how tf do you even get to the mountains in China from America though, everyone I've talked to about traveling to China at all has said its hard to do. ideally I'd go with someone from there, I'm thinking Fuzhou. Most people from china i know here come from there
what about PrepHole in Taiwan? I'd really love to visit Taiwan for other reasons and going up a mountain would make it a lot better
The US & Canada together are the best place for climbing mountains.
The Himalayas and Karakorum are impressive, but they fact they are in countries with shitty governments who impose all sorts of permits and fees make it less appealing.
And honestly, they really aren't more impressive than those in Coastal Canada/ Alaska, they are just higher altitude.
South America probably has better peaks, but the Rockies affect the entire landscape of the west. No Rockies means no Grand Staircase and no Grand Canyon.
Contrast this with say Chile, where the cordilleras are striking because they're so narrow and so distinct from the rest of the landscape. Santiago has less then 2,000 feet elevation, and about 50 miles away you have peaks at 17,000.
You don't get that in the Rockies.
NTA and it's not the rockies but in the US you can go from fricking death valley desert below sea level to mount whitney at almost 15,000 feet just 80 miles away. Most morons who generalize about the US have clearly just looked at a handful of pictures.
>the Rockies affect the entire landscape of the west. No Rockies means no Grand Staircase and no Grand Canyon.
Black person that's not how geology works. Eurobrained comment.
IMHO it's not the mountains themselves but the amenities near by. In the Alps I can go for a hike or climb in some of the most beautiful countryside in the world and end the day at a chalet with cold beer and roast chicken. As I grow older I tend to favour that kind of outing. If you want your mountains so far away that you have to plan a full day to go back for food then you won't find that in Europe.
Even just in the contiguous US there's a lot of variety of mountains, maybe no singular range is as spectacular as the Swiss Alps but all together I'd still take the US.
Yeah, the contiguous US is about the same size as Europe in terms of land area so it’s not much of a surprise that there are more mountains there than in one small European nation.
Point is that there are many beautiful scenic places in the US that nobody talks about because they aren't one of the famous landmarks. Odds are people denigrating US mountains haven't experienced them sufficiently to compare.
Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Nepal, Pakistan, China and Chile, to name a few.
A shame about how cucked the laws are in all of those places.
That wasn't the question.
Kek I want to see what kind of backpedaling that goofy frick does after you called him out like this.
He is moving the goal posts because he cannot accept the truth, he probably never traveled abroad an he will die as stupid as he already is, there is no helping that kind of trailer trash don't even try
>cannot accept the truth
What truth?
do you have brain worms?
First four don't have better mountains they have better valleys.
OP is a moron, but the alps aren't materially better than what you can find in whatever combination of rockies/cascades/alaskan ranges you want to choose. They're all probably roughly on par in most cases, but delusional to simply claim that the alps are better.
Post nose
damn newbie you are fitting in real good today
Not an answer, rabbi.
This doesn't even make sense, kiddo. What does understanding mountains have to do with da jooz whatsoever
Go back, nose-yim. Your kind isn't welcome here.
Alps are superior to any mountains in the lower 48. They are inferior to the ranges in BC, Yukon, and Alaska.
thanks for your opinion
Alps are more historically relevant and traversed, American mountains don't have the same exposure or access
None of that has to do with quality, unfortunately. Really dumb post.
Argentina and Chile are pretty great. Nepal and China too. Canada is up there but so cold and remote it sort of flies under the radar. Costa Rica is good for how small it is (though the mountains have a much different feel). Pic is the Hindu Kush mountains.
To think one of my favorite plants comes from there.
WEED
Russian mountains have yetis and ayylmaos if you're interested in that kind of thing.
Around Lake Biakal or only in the Urals?
Ever heard of Nepal?
like every single one?
Ethiopia, Peru, Bolivia, Nepal.
yes
Nepal, China, Pakistan for sure
if we count Alaska I think that's it, if we don't count Alaska then like 50 other countries also
how tf do you even get to the mountains in China from America though, everyone I've talked to about traveling to China at all has said its hard to do. ideally I'd go with someone from there, I'm thinking Fuzhou. Most people from china i know here come from there

Look up beast runners channel on YT, white couple working as SAR in Taiwan. My impression so far is taiwanese seems to be pretty chill
Nobody saying China can be taken seriously.
why

you don't have to worry about dying from being too high up in Coastal Canada/ Alaska
The Netherlands probably has the most beautiful mountains I've ever seen.
South America probably has better peaks, but the Rockies affect the entire landscape of the west. No Rockies means no Grand Staircase and no Grand Canyon.

Yeah and Denali is actually the tallest mountain on Earth measure base to height.
Acktshually, that's Mauna Kea
>Acktshually
From the center of the earth to the peak this is the tallest.
God damn it
>the Rockies affect the entire landscape of the west. No Rockies means no Grand Staircase and no Grand Canyon.
Black person that's not how geology works. Eurobrained comment.
>you have reached michigan's highest point
>can clearly see trees you could climb to go higher
Past that point is upper michigan
Argentina, Chile, Georgia, Nepal, Austria, Switzerland.
Eastern USA sisters, how do we respond to this?
We visit the west sometimes.
By telling more easterners to move out west to "le big mountains" to free up space for the rest of us
We have mountainlets by world standards
Italian alps are truly amazing, also swiss side is great, just dont forget to avoid french gays

There's like 2 million square miles of mountainous USA. Switzerland is what, 40k for the entire country?
Yeah, the contiguous US is about the same size as Europe in terms of land area so it’s not much of a surprise that there are more mountains there than in one small European nation.
The us is more apt to be compared to the entire eu than one individual ***cOUntRY*** that is the size of maine
Point is that there are many beautiful scenic places in the US that nobody talks about because they aren't one of the famous landmarks. Odds are people denigrating US mountains haven't experienced them sufficiently to compare.
Is there a country with worse people than the US?
India easily. There are a lot of subhuman Chinese also.
England has the worst people in europe. Israel has the worst people of any "developed" nation. India has the worst people on earth.
Only Alaska has good mountains, and they are not even that good.
Outside of Alaska, US mountains are so tiny that they are irrelevant.
You wouldn't know.
>they are not even that good.
lmao
Alaska has the best mountains on the planet.
alps, patagonia, and asia have more broadleaf forests surrounding their mountains. you could argue they are more biodiverse.
no, truly the GOAT
