WW3 has two fronts. China and Russia and there is good chance both can be fought almost entirly as proxy wars because despite what you have heard we have great foreign relations with the rest of the world and literally everyone hates China and Russia. They even hate each other and have a long history of war, it's an open secret both want to stab the other when this temporary alliance is no longer useful.
Ukrane is willing to proxy war against Russia because of terriority disputes. Poland knows that if Ukrane falls the are next and have been rebuilding and training their army. France knows they are next after Poland but dont want to spend any resources until it's clear Poland can't win without them.
The China front will be fought over Taiwan and be a naval battle. The logistics favor Taiwan because defending is way easier than attacking in Naval warfare. Taiwan doesn't have much arms but literally every single Asian country wants China to lose because they know if China gets Taiwan China will project power over them. Japan has hated China longer and more than any other country in the world. They would literally fight China for no reason and they have plenty of reason because Japan more than any other country would benefit from gaining Chinese terriority because Japan doesn't have much farmland and China has plenty.
America's involvement will only happen if China or Russia uses nukes. They won't hit us because nuclear missles cannot travel that far. They will hit Taiwan/Ukrane and if they happens the USA can counter-nuke and not look like the bad guy.
