Certain jurisdictions have laws specifically banning handling firearms whilst intoxicated. marijuana is still a federally controlled substance no matter what its legality is on the individual state level, and you can’t own firearms and be a known illicit drug user.

I'm ME. I did notice that I was largely teaching myself the curriculum through the textbooks. But had I been diligent and actually introduced myself to the topic of discussion before hand, the lectures would have been quite useful.
I get that your saying you learned the important stuff once you already had a job. But are you really saying it wasnt useful to get a through study of Calc, Physics2, modern physics, dynamics, statics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, intro to programing, etc? Oh you even take a sorta easy like business economics class.... the kinda stuff you would do if you were a project manager and tracking a projects money in excell. Oh and in the last years you do group projects where you design or improve a design of something. The functional needs analysis and ideation techniques they show you in that class are useful for any task in life, if you felt like nerding out about one.
The only class I can think of that everyone hated and sucked to be forced to take was statistics. It could be useful but was just so mundane I couldnt force myself to get in to it, and can barely remember one thing.

You can't purchase a gun from an FFL if you have a medical marijuana card because it's federally illegal and you would be lying on a 4473 if you had any pot, which is quite unfortunate because that shit is so much better for you than opioids pain medications or antidepressants. HOWEVER, you can purchase a gun legally if you buy it from someone instead of an FFL, just good luck procuring ammo.

Weed doesn’t make you incapable. Alcohol does. I feel like carrying a firearm whilst high doesn’t make you dangerous, it‘s still just a protection measure. Also, adrenaline makes you sober up instantly. I feel like if you are able to carry regularly, you are able to carry high and should be charged just the same if you missuse. Alcohol on the other hand cloudes your judgement and a drunky on the street with his glock is much more easily aggregated.
I once took an edible at a music festival/block party in the down town area of my very small town that was taking place in the neighborhood I had worked in for two years. I had absolutely no idea where I was for most of the evening. Weed definitely makes you incapable lol.

I know in Georgia if you're below the legal driving limit (0.08 bac) you're good to carry your gun. But if you get caught with your gun on you shitfaced, depending on what you're doing it can amount to a felony.
As for Marijuana, I haven't taken THC since I got my carry permit because a lawyer told me that if you use your gun in a defensive situation they are going to drug test you and they will use ANYTHING in your system as a platform to prosecute you for murder. There no way to prove you weren't high when you used your gun, and in a situation where your innocence is dependant upon your exact memory of events and your sober justification for taking someone's life that really complicates things. Not to mention it's crimminal behavior to use drugs, so instead of looking like regular old dude exercising his rights, to a jury or judge you might look like a gangbager or thug.
