SK has a lot of the usual asian problems and corruption + tons of conscripts.
Japan has a professional military and suffers less from asian syndrome due to earlier western influences.
Japanese morale is shit. If it weren't for America's bases, there's nothing really stopping China from steamrolling after a token defense. Until Japan fixes that problem, their situation is grim. At least Koreans have a fervency for protecting their homeland.
Probably Japan.
Modern Korea has that "We have Japan at home" feeling. That said, they seem to have a bigger military industry than Japan, probably because of Japan's history of restricting its military and just using American shit, while Korea is still technically at war with the North.
Japan because conscription is shit
>Ukraine
>Israel
SK is thoroughly more modern and significantly larger. Japs sort of despise their own military.
However the Japanese navy is by far the strongest blue water navy in the region.
Stronger than China?
Probably.
Doesn't China only have the one carrier? And just like everything else it's made in China
They have two kuznetsov based operational ones, Liaoning and Shandong, with the Fujian being fitted out currently as the 3rd one.
I'm sure liaoning and Shandog have good performance because the admiral Kuznetsov works so well!
To be fair they seem to function a bit better than kuznetsov, but that really isn't a high bar.
Yeah they just announced #3 and it's not even nuclear powered. First 2 were Russian, 3rd is a rip off of an American design.
Spoiler: pics is 10 years old, China has doubled their economy. Japan has stagnated/shrunk
all 120 ships of the japanese navy displace a total of 1 ton? incredible.yn

Nip navy is better. Korean ground forces are better. Air force is currently in minimal favor for Korea but soon nips will be ahead.
Stronger than Britain?
lmaoo
No wonder they're hesitant to invade Taiwan
That's the British F-35 accident.
Jap Navy > asiatic Navy
Jap Ground Forces < asiatic Ground Forces
japan is barely even allowed to have a military, its not even a contest
Japan's "not" military is larger than the UK, France, and German military.
ROK Army mogs JGSDF in size for obvious reasons while JMSDF mogs ROK Navy in every conceivable way.
JASDF mogs ROK Air Force in quality.
