I have 0 experience in anything construction related but academia is starting to bore me. Is it easy? Kinda just want a job where I don't have to think too much and do the same routine everyday so I can come back home to my empty apartment and shitpost and watch anime.
Stupid idea. Jobs are for money and benefits. Get tenure then retire. Hobbies are for fun. About a third of your life will be spent too old to work. Get money. Shoot your inner child in the face.
This but the opposite. Only work when you need money and NEET whenever you can. Throw your inner adult into a woodchipper
>Only work when you need money and NEET whenever you can.
How do you retire using that method with any degree of prosperity?
I'm not advocating wageslavery, I'm advocating making MONEY you moronic bootlipped abomination. The classic way is choose a career with an early, reliable vested retirement preferably a government job since no business entity can be expected to support viable retirement plans.
If you choose wisely your career will be easy for you. If not you deserve the fate you chose. NEET can work well but mostly results in poorgays with no cash cushion, fun money etc.
t. emotionally bankrupt wageslave incel moron
Frick both of these. Just depersonalise and dissociate. Throw past present and future (you) into the abyss.
These are both bullshit. Take your inner child and your inner adult and lock them together in a small concrete room. Make millions forcing them to perform strange and unnatural acts upon each other on the dark web. Use your newfound financial freedom to do whatever you want.
With a white collar job you can work a few hours each day and spend the rest of the time shit posting and watching anime. That seems more your speed.
Have you ever done a full day of manual labour?
I've worked as a machinist, a welder, and now am in an electrical apprenticeship. I feel like I just say frick the trades and go into IT or engineering. I can't stand the shitty pay, waking up at 5 AM to get to the jobsite that's an hour away, lifting heavy shit and dealing with idiots. I fell for the follow your passion meme and I'm sick of it.
Stop switching and get gud. When you're good you can crush the baby stuff the apprentices struggle with and tackle the big brain stuff. You can also demand more money from a company or working on your own.
>shitty pay
In the trades? But there is massive demand. You must suck at negotiating.
You must suck at socializing and sales. Trades isn't amazing work but if you go on your own and get a couple of reliable customers you could make 150 minimum per job.
It sounds like in your family tree there my be <pic related>
Black person if you think going into IT is going to get you away from shitty pay and having to deal with idiots then you fricking deserve all you get. At least trade work keeps you physically fit, also if you are earning shit pay then that's our own fault.
Are you GOOD at those things? Plant maintenance is interesting, stable work. If you're a noob not making good money that's one thing but if experience resulted in skill you should be easily employable.
Idiots are everywhere. After retiring from the USAF I worked for a community college and will never insult "military intelligence" again. Holy shit the civilian helplessness...
^This, and you're very easy to outsource in IT vs. trades.
Plumbing doesn't require a big brain. It does require you to have a felony record, drug problem, and to enjoy playing in other people's shit.
Water flows downhill. That is all.
Everything else, is pipefitting
also has to be vented... so it can't slope too much..
