It's a lot more than marginal. I'd say it's the difference between being treated like animal in the infantry, (or a child as a POG) vs just being treated like a normal adult.
>100x more responsibilities
I rather do paperwork and sit in bullshit meetings than do details all day. Brb gotta unpack, itemize, and repack the conex for the third time this month.
by who
officers treat them better because they're fellow officers
enlisted try to avoid them both because accountability is gay and also they tend to be weird nerds
>actively made fun of >not respected >taken advantage of >lower enlisted will do everything in their power to get around you and do what they want to do anyways
frick you lt i'm drinking in the field
Officers have no idea what enlisted experience. An e1-e4 is the bottom of totem pole and is expected to risk death by convention while officers are expected to only risk death by necessity or circumstance. There is no comparison. An e1 can get treated like trash by everyone higher up and there was nothing he could do but become so strong that it didn't crush him. Officers don't know anything about this. Its something you just had to go through to understand. The advantage is that enlisted are always harder and tougher than officers. Generally. Exception is transitioned ncos who transfer to commission. Those guys see both worlds and retain their salt.

You do know that officers go through their own training where they're treated like trash for a long ass time too right? Saying privates are "tougher than officers" is straight up moronation.

I can't find the good turkey nuggets any more. They're somewhere around I think but I don't recall which supermarket carries them.
They aren't treated like royalty.
They are treated like the gods they are.

That's why we have sergeants to go and kick your ass and then take your booze for themselves.
Why do you keep making dumb threads about the US military?
