Absolutely not, even more so a downgrade from the g36. HK should have refined it's ar-18 clone (removed carry handle, moved charging handle to the side... which is what they did with the hk433) instead of making an overly heavy ar-15.
Hk knew the US wouldnt buy a rifle anyway because they never did in the 500 trials before so they offered a cheap upper replacement instead of developing a completely new rifle. And surprise, the US Army didnt buy it nor any other rifle in the trial.
Do you have to deal with military inspections? I'd kind of lean toward that because it's only getting rejected based on the principle of who is doing the turn in on how it's been turned in, and frick you that's why go clean it better. It's abobawdely an arms MOS vs I'm a cool trigger puller about cleaning it and frick it, it's good enough. Is it perfect? You have to do it perfect. You did it wrong. It didn't pass white gloves inspection after I licked every part of this and passed it over my glove. Armorers literally lick their fingers subconsciously when they think "frick this guy". Is that carbon? Did my saliva just pick up a bit of carbon?
It doesn’t matter, all Sami automatic rifles have basically the same efficacy on the battlefield. You’re just choosing different flavors of the same thing
Between 2018-2019 Beretta ARX100s were going for $700-$800. Same time period you could also get 805 Brens for $1300. FN FNARs went for $1,100 around that time too.
Alright so unlike most of you guys i’v actually shot and maintained a 10.5’’ 416, and i can confidently say that i’d 100% keep my mk18. It’s gasy, heavy, somehow has more recoil, cleaning takes longer, sourcing parts is a nightmare, it’s very expensive and reliability wasnt that great. The adjustable gas block didnt really make any difference and to me the concept of slapping a piston on top of an ar15 is just dumb.. maybe water is where it shines but unless you’re shooting right after the rifle was submerged i think a DI would do just fine
apparently it's a mix of a G36 and a HK416, cheaper than the 416 and with a folding stock. I wonder why Germany wants to adopt the 416 instead of the 433, probably corruption.
Could be the higher parts compatibility with M4 components, so if a disruption happens in the supply chain for whatever reason they've got a ready-made plan b to fall back on, that or HK made more of them then they could ship and just decided to cut a deal to clear out some warehouses
no rear charging handle so the stock can have that adjustable slopy bit, plus beefed out molding around the gas tube really do a lot to make this look nice
no, but also perhaps yes

>better than the M4
At what?
frick ya mudda
As a suppressed 10.5” gun? Yes. In any other iteration, no.

>people discussing an AR18 with a shitty rollmark on it without addressing it for what it is
forged ar18*
Yes, obviously.
I say yes in terms of reliability but it needs an enhanced buffer, one with an extended lower lip, to prevent or reduce carrier tilt.
wtf no it doesn't. only shitty old piston ars from 10 years ago need that. even the wolf piston upper doesn't need that.

This guy gets it. Casualties from small arms in modern warfare are almost incidental compared to those caused by ordnance.
In BF3 and BF4 it is
yeah
are there any cool european 'assault rifles' that arent expensive as frick?

you can find bren 2s for 1500 on occasion
AKM
it certainly has more letters
It's more expensive. And HK is boutique lifestyle brand. So yes. It's cooler and therefore better
HK and Rheinmetall are the Apple of weapons
seethe and cope
Are you doing any two of the following three things?
>Short barrel
>Suppressed
>Full auto
Then yes. Otherwise, no.
About the only definitively better thing on the 416 vs a rack-grade M4 is the barrel. But it's a pretty fricking good barrel, though.
Not at all, it is a gimmick gun. For too expensive to be effective.
>be piston gun
>no folding stock from the factory
what did the krauts mean by this?
straight from the marketing department
>cOmPaTiBlE
it does everything an m4 does and inflates department budgets

Based SOT
When I was a govgay we replaced our BushMaster Commandos with the 416D and it was definitely a totally different t recoil impulse on full auto.
Report this one ass well homosexual
Yes.
But only because Colt made the M4's
any m4 you’ve touched was made by FN
I've touched none because I don't want to die for israel.
is the HK433 better than the HK416?
Oh, is that 4th or 5th SCAR?

Holy shit it's the
It's made by H&K, so of course it's better than anything american.
It's just too expensive and thus not worth it.
