Define 'worth'. No, you probably won't be able to sell it again with a profit. No, you probably won't need it for your military service unless you are in an army so desperate they don't have equipment to hand out. Yes, you CAN get somewhat obsolete, somewhat work, somewhat damaged equipment for a somewhat good price that you have practically zero chance to find in unissued state and original. Yes, you can enjoy pawing equipment closely connected with interesting and usually lethal time periods. Hey, what can I say, my milsurp room is FULL of uniforms and equipment and I have enjoyed owning it for 30 years. If you think it is worth it, it is worth it.

      We got you senpai https://kula-tactical.com/

I like military surplus. The milsurp I have bought is very durable and I only buy when I find reasonably priced items.

I have gotten very good prices on he US Army ACU UCP camo. The US Army discontinued this camo pattern and most people do not like it so there is a lot of it available cheap.
I buy textile dye at Hobby Lobby and dye it to be more green to match. I enjoy finding good deals on milsurp and then dyeing it. It is very easy to do and I find it enjoyable.
Pic Rel is some milsurp I have. Left to Right is an M81 Woodland Camo Alice Pack, A magazine shingle, you can see a US Army ACU UCP 3Day Raid Pack and Full Pack I dyed at different times with textile dye, also at the top is a British DPU camo Pack Cover.

        >nobody wants them
Its not like nobody wants them, its just that there are so many of them. They were made during a period of heavy combat like between 2004-2014. Its the same with multicam and BDUs in 3 cor desert/woodland. The only expensive surplus are either the 6 color desert, marpat or any crye or other gucci brands. Along with some FROG/FRACU gear that isn't multicam or desert marpat. The most expensive gear tends to be the ones that are made in limited numbers. Massif, for example are cheap despite their 2nd hand pricing being $20 for their combat shirts.

        >discontinued this camo pattern
They sorta didn't until 2019. The reason to why They are cheap is because the military has abundance of them and they aren't really using them anymore. Its the same with their surplus of multicam. If it isn't in demand by the military and there are abundance of them, they will sell for cheap.

          >wat do u anons think of KLMK
People have different preferences and it is all good by me. M81 Woodland camo is what I prefer for the thick, green vegetation of Appalachia where I live.

A lot of Russian camos are good, the only problem being most of the garments they are applied to are of poor quality or have an uncomfortable fit with western gear setups(PCs, chest rigs, etc.)

Yea, its worth it. Its interesting to see uniforms from different time periods. I also notice the weird difference between FRACU ane FROG shit. But yes, it is worth it if you're interested in military shit and also looking for shit that can be usable in the long run.

That image stirs a random thought in my brain. My grandad was in the British army in WW2 and he always likes to say how when the Americans arrived in the buildup for Normandy they had the best uniforms and looked really sharp, but by the time the war ended in Germany they looked like an army of vagrants.

Well, in the OP art they are from the Big Red One, the firsr ones who landed in Africa iirc, so wearing the uniform for 3ish years straight is going to take a toll

Speaking from a us gear perspective, certain things are. Pants and jackets are usually very reliable. It's hit or miss though, they're made by convicts so don't be surprised if the ass literally blows out. jackets are always solid though, from field tops to smokers jacket, etc.
The individual war fighter tents are heavy compared to civilian counterparts, but durable and comfy as frick. I love the new ones they're issuing.
The three piece sleep system is awesome, but it's bulky and impractical unless you're car camping. The backpacks (assault pack and 3 day ruck) will last you a life time, but I'd avoid the full size ruck sack as it's going to be expensive, heavy, and you're better off with civilian options. personally I don't use the issued assault pack any more and use a maxpedition with additional mile pouches on it for my assault pack/3 day ruck now. but the 3 day is still a good piece of kit I take on deployments where there's rucking.
All the cold weather gear from silk weight to waffle is g2g.
I'd recommend a woobie, but I got the jungle blanket from snugpak off Amazon and that's my go-to gift for everyone in the service. Hands down the best woobie ever.
Skip wet weather gear unless you can inspect it personally, they don't have the best shelf life and will leak at the seams and lose their water proofing.
If you can get an issued LBT battle belt they're legit, but not better than other things on the market.
    The IFAKs are serviceable.
Everything else military issue you're better off buying for comparable/ slight premium prices and you'll get much better performance from. This includes lbe, magazine pouches, tarps, poncho, lights, water containers, plate carriers/iotvs, etc.

      >made by convicts
They stopped doing that. Also sometimes gear made by inmates can be pretty good.

If I was at home I've got a set of fatigues I bought just two years ago in the PX I'd post. They're labeled where they're made on the inside tag. I won't argue the point, even with that being the case anything you see in a milsurp store has the likelihood of it being made by convicts for better or worse.

Some contactors are pretty good. I think the most consistent ones being propper and also american apparel. Blue water defense also is decent. The one i have mix feelings for is probably ready one industries.

I've had pt clothes last year made by inmates. I've also saw clothes at my px with the same disclaimer

Most likely they were clothes contracted in the 2000s than the late 2010s. Just because they stopped using inmates doesn't mean they throq out the surplus made by them.

in general it's just a workshop like you'd see in bangladesh but staffed with adults instead of children so why wouldn't the quality be ok? usually the convict labor programs are voluntary so they can get a job after prison so it's people interested in making stuff and with a vested interest in doing a good job so they can maybe get an internship somewhere after

I want a version where a big hairy muscular smelly american brute pins her down rips her clothes off and gives her a kiss on the forehead before wrapping her in an olive green wool blanket. Then brutally fricks her ass hole open for years until realizing you can flip women over.

I think it's cute that they just snatched her insignia and medals. She's left there like, what the frick? Reminds me of that one comic where hooligans tie that girl's sleeves in a knot and run away.

Men are all rapists and gooners so by delaying rape they're just building up for even more brutal rape. Smh literally hitlers walking around and being like 50% of the global population. Global rape on a massive scale everything defiled and cummed on.

because my country has a bad supply system I've bought lots of spare uniforms and bits like mandatory all-force velcro patches or whatever from pawn shops and mil surp stores after mine have been stolen or get mangled in regular use (they are not good quality)

At least some things, like the later ECWCS outer layers, are absolutely worth it. Some shit, like the surplus M35A2 I bought, is a little bit of a money out, but still useful and fun

I wear surplus pants exclusively now, like a hobo. I'd wear jeans but you can't even find jeans these days that are up to the strenuous activity of sitting around and taking things out of your pocket and putting them back.
