Is boiling a rust brown colored C&R frame in distilled water so the patina looks black and desirable moronic
Pls advice because I’m moronic enough to consider it

I don't have an answer for you but cute image.
I mean if you wanna brown something, go ahead?
I've done some rust bluing so I might be biased
It’s already browned because of “patina”
I’m a moron and think removing the internals and boiling the frame will make the patina blacker/bluer and ergo more desirable
But I’m moronic and worry being a moron will wreck the gun
Are you the C96 twink
…yes
God as my witness, if you do some bubba shit to that beautiful c96 I'm going to track you down and rape your ass. I've seen your wrists, you can't stop me.
I won’t, this is why I ask for input whenever I get a moronic idea.
I'm not God, but this sounds hot. Can I witness this instead?
bro for the love of god leave that poor frickin gun alone. the patina is fine
What do you mean by "desirable"? you trying to sell it? frick it?
>you trying to sell it? frick it?
No but other collectors laughed at the browning so I wondered if this would help
Thank you
I needed people to say that so I wouldn’t frick it up
Leave that beauty alone
Sad. You just know your hobby is officially fricked when morons like this are buying up curios and relics.
I already listened and said I won’t do it
sorry bro you posted something silly so you're gonna get bullied
i don't make da rules
>C96
Twink, whatever you do I would ask fricking gun-smith gun experts not a bunch of rape-apes here. You don't frick around with that.
How much was it anyway gayget? The gun, that is.
1700$ because prices have gotten ridiculous
On the plus side the barrel and crown were in great shape and the rest of the intervals were fine too so I could have done worse
That's a pretty great deal, I was just checking because I came into some money and I'm seeing the prices really getting crazy. You got it good! Haff fun with that. I'm seeing some acceptable, if still rough, prices for the ammo. PPU havng it at 0.62c on some random site, but fiocchi charging brutal.
I'd kill for a repro line of C96s but I expect they'd frick em up and make em railed and optics ready and all sorts of dumb shit.
Ty, I honestly just chanced it on a gunbroker with bad quality pictures and got lucky. I could have just as easily gotten one wrecked but maybe people with more money experience can pull this off safe? Bad quality photos always seem to get less competing bids.
Should be getting Mauser ammo soon, thx
>more money experience
More experience
moronic
post pictures of your soft hands and I'll link you a video of how to do a classic reblue.
this but post your cute round butt instead
for research purposes of course
Just oil it.
kys avatargay
>make boring OP pic, nobody answers
>boil your frame like a moron
Nah, not boring saved the gun
I presume you mean rust bluing. Yeah, it's fine if that's what you want and doesn't harm anything but not all guns were blued let alone rust blued so it may look out of place.
Couldn't you also use rust remover? I don't know anything about bluing.
Strips off the stable plum browning and leaves naked metal. Browning is less ugly
I'm a sicko so I'd probably do that.
if you are that guy from /msg/, don't frick with the c96, you will ruin it
Too late, I bought a new bolt stop and placed the OG in storage so that I don’t frick up a hundred year old part
Then I’m going to shoot it like a moron
yeah that's fine, just don't frick up the finish like you keep asking to do. guns are meant to be shot, appreciate the history and what it's been through rather than do a shit job "restoring" it.
Is that the bowl some anon tested on his head with his brother and an air rifle?
Yes but I’m not moronic enough to be him
