just buy the dumb kit, by the time you get the outlets, cover plates, etc. you will be saving money, I don't think most places will sell romex by the foot

Don't run extension cord wire through the wall. It won't last.

just buy the kits, will all match in the house, buy a spare if you think you might need it later.
