>Based PSA making the best firearm that a 7.62 AK mag fits in.
PTR 32? It probably works fine and having to rock-and-lock and HK Slap is a selling point, frankly
It's a hunting rifle, the epitome of the maxim "you're going to spend way more time looking at it than shooting it". Aesthetics matter; pride of ownership matters. There are lots of affordable, accurate, whatever rifles out there; there was basically only one CZ 550 FS.
Those magazines are terrible. 7.62x39 is not meant to feed out of a magazine like that. They don't fit well into mag pockets. They're super ugly outside of the gun and they're impossible to get. Maybe availability got better, I don't know. I had a one and spent 3 months trying to find a magazine, anywhere at any price and could not. I sold the gun.
The only thing I'll say for it, is that I much prefer cleaning that style of bolt carrier group over the AR's.
Mags have been wildly available for longer and are nearly identical size to 7.62 AK mags which also feed just fine into the system.

These things are absolute fricking ASS lmao. >CZ brings the rifle to a shoot to brag >"look what the GIGN is buying from us, cool, huh?" >they put a can on it >rifle literally turns into a straight pull, completely refuses to cycle even once >uhhhhh wait a moment >after half an hour of troubleshooting they give up and take the can off >it still jams at least twice every mag

Gee I dunno OP. Also who is actually paying $2k for an AK in the current year? Arsenal is the only company that charges that much for a rack-grade side folding AK, but everyone knows they are a bunch of israelite scammers.
It’s silly but the Sam series is still the best AK currently in production that is available to the U.S civilian market. They’re boringly reliable. The ONLY complains you’ll ever hear about em is “muh finish” and “muh sights are canted by a micron”. But yes, kvar are absolute scum bags. Arsenal Bulgaria sells these rifles to the entire world for like $800 a pop, including Kvar. Who then import them, jump through a couple hoops and then turn around and sell them at a $1300 markup. That all being said, it really is too late to get into the AK game in the year of our Lord two thousand and twenty four. Anyone paying todays prices did it to themselves.
>the Sam series is still the best AK currently in production that is available to the U.S civilian market
KUSA? What's wrong with PSA, actually? And don't pretend that a milled receiver that's heavier and more expensive for no practical benefit is a selling point.
KUSA and PSA are both hit or miss, although I will admit PSA has been a lot better lately. > And don't pretend that a milled receiver that's heavier and more expensive for no practical benefit is a selling point.
That’s literally it though, milled receivers are just tougher. Battlefield Las Vegas has done a handful of reports that all show milled receivers are bullet proof, especially the Bulgarian and Chinese ones. No rivets to get gay, no trunions to crumble, no rails to crack, and no warping of receiver walls. The weight is literally nothing. I can send you videos of 18 year old midgets hiking around Pendleton with mk19’s on top of a pack with a m27 slung.
BFV also swears by the Steyr AUG as a go to war, end of the world gun, and ARs are an order of magnitude easier to correct common parts breakages on than any AK, especially if you live in the US.
> and ARs are an order of magnitude easier to correct common parts breakages on than any AK, especially if you live in the US.
And that’s 100% true. Never seen them talk about the AUG so no comment there.
That being said, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that I would be absolutely flabbergasted if any part on any of my AK’s broke. Pic related has a higher round count then 90% of the bolts posted here. Ak’s do one thing good. When they are assembled correctly, they just work basically forever with minimal maintenance.

Basically all modern firearms can easily outlive their barrels in terms of durability, and with AK requiring a large press to replace the barrel doing that is basically equivalent to a complete rebuild.
You're simply trying to attribute to AK some mythical qualities to justify your emotional attachment. Paying out of your ass for it too, probably.

When is the last time you heard of an AK needing a barrel replacement?
You’re just grasping at straws because you’re weak and poor.
imagine buying a 1500$ gun when you could buy a Zastava for 1000$. Don't even bother with a 7.62 though, 5.56 is superior in most respects and the ZPAP m90 is a solid gun in that caliber
Sorry anon but aktards just absolutely NEED their le epic tarkov build and will go through 17 credit cards to get there.
I will never forgive them for 1) discontinuing every good thing they make except for the 457 and 2) fricking up the 600.

Yeah, CZ's in the toilet for no good reason. They were having quality issues before all the changeovers so the tooling was probably shot.

I have no reason to purchase anything from this company.
550 was objectively inferior in everything but aesthetics

This shit not only looks like ass, but it’s missing a bayonet lug. Keep your shitty gay rifles to yourself.
It has a bayonet lug tho (but I removed mine)
Aftermarket had ya covered. The OEM handguard was an odd choice I agree
Yeah CZ sent out new gas plugs and there haven’t been problems since afaik. Idk how that slipped past them though
I still think they should have stayed with the pic rail models. I'm bias with the shorty barrel but the single mlok is terrible at the 6'oclock.
Yeah if you’re running the 8” I’d rather have pic rail as well. Nice rifle
What they should do is do what B&T did and ship lowers that accepts ar pistol grips because holy frick my wrist just broke looking at the pos on it
are you having a stroke?
There are several aftermarket lowers, and the OEM lower has different backstraps. It's really not bad ime
I'm pissed that the front of the receiver near the gas block on the american version of the carbine looks like shit
Imagine being the homosexual French contrarians who adopted that thing.
those way too short handguards look stupid
The handguards aren't too short, the barrel is too long.
The barrel isn't too long if you want something effective beyond compact carbine range. Needs a longer handguard for the longer barrels.
I don't know what kind of dipshit spends 2k on an AK but what you posted is most definitely not one.
Why wouldn't you just go for the gen5 PSAKs?
Because I don't think the FN barrel is worth the extra $400 MSRP
Bro, they literally fricking jammed like crazy and didn’t cycle. It was so bad them stopped importing the 7.62 almost entirely.
They've had it fixed for almost 2 years now.
Mags have been wildly available for longer and are nearly identical size to 7.62 AK mags which also feed just fine into the system.
People pay 2000 for an AK? Are gun prices in current year really that bad?
The boomers are dying out it's the stupid millienals who think they know what they got when them AKs used to cost a buck fifty back in my days
No, it's just consoomers consooming. A plain Jane WASR-10 is still only like $1000.
Even $1000 is still way overpaying for a WASR, so why the FRICK would anyone pay two grand for an AK?
Oof, they threw a muzzle break from a dead company on there
Industry drama?
>Only $1k
>Wasr
No amount of slightly less canted sights will make me not laugh at the current state of AKs.
The state of the reheated WW2 leftovers market is pretty laughable, yeah.
I member the 450 dollah WASR
Mine was 325 without canted sights. Things were a lot funner right before Obummer and his boyyfriend ruined everything
moron, you can buy a WASR for much less than a thousand dollars.
