That’s dumb. I unironically made a leddit account just to buy a NiB one for $80. There’s some guy there that sells ABC casios and g shocks for pretty good discounts.

It might’ve been an “opened box” deal but it still had all the stickers/protective film on it. Also got a PRW2500T that was “new” for $120 so they might be clearing out discontinued models or they’re all stolen. Either way there are several “dealers” on there selling mint stuff that beats paying new prices.

Do you think producing stickers or protective film for counterfeits is something the Chinese can't do?

They make everything from counterfeit iPhones to counterfeit Baofengs. Why wouldn't they make counterfeit ABC watches?
If they do they’re basically non-functioning. It pretty easy to spot a fake Casio especially the g-shocks and protreks. Plus too many people selling on leddit are concerned about their updoots and reputation to risk selling a fake. It’s not ali express.

Anon, Casio's cheapest watch with a barometer will set you back about $150, and it's not a G Shock. Their cheapest G Shock with a barometer will set you back about $300.
Only a Casio will do
It's ok, probably better to get a gd100, a suunto m3 compass, and a local topography map.
Or a Garmin Foretrex

Not really, but they are good watches. I had one a few years, but eventually I ditched it for a watch with heart rate and fitness tracking nonsense.
Get a garmin foretrex 601 and a f91w
Either get a Casio G-Shock or a citizen nighthawk. If you you really wanna larp hard get one of those Garmin GPS watches they hand out to rangers / sf guys but I am not a fan of them
Garmin GPS watches combined with Garmin satellite calling GPS devices are perfect for hunters and larpers innawoods for longer than a day.
On a budget a Timex Ironman is a good choice.

No its a meme watch made in China, none of the sensors are accurate and it requires constant recalibration. If you need the sensors it pretends to offer then just buy them separate.
