I'm looking for a better way to clean my shower then dumping bleach on it and scrubbing for an hour.

I'm looking for a better way to clean my shower then dumping bleach on it and scrubbing for an hour. What I have in mind is
>industrial strength
>not sold in grocery stores
>professional cleaners use it
>plastered in warning labels and has a safety data sheet readily accessible
>don't let it touch your skin or it'll frick you up
Essentially I want some shit that I can put down on grime and it'll blast it into the next century without a ton of elbow grease. Anyone got any ideas?

    Steam cleaner.
    Also sterilizes while it blasts.

Seems like a good idea, thanks. I'll check them out.

I should mention I don't care about sterility or long term damage since I'm renting. I just want the tub to look clean so any girls I manage to lure over don't know about my dark, twisted psyche

alternatively, dry ice cleaning is gaining popularity in residential car detailing, basically an industrial gas duster, better to remove moisture from a bathroom than add to it.

The strongest stuff I know of is dishwasher gel. It’s practically like lye (lye, itself, can remove paint).
Another really strong detergent is those toilet bowl cleaners. They have hydrochloric acid in them. Maybe alternate, one is a very basic, and the other is acidic.
    Do not mix.

you want this shit right here
    https://www.amazon.com/DYNAMITE-Butyl-Cleaner-40-Gallon/dp/B08WT2KLPN
you don't have to mix it 40:1 - that's the mix for running it through a steam cleaner or powerwasher or whatever.
cleans anything from your bathtub to your car to your backhoe. wear rubber gloves that go up to or even past your elbows. don't let it sit too long or it will eat paint off shit. i also seem to remember hearing that it doesn't play well with aluminum.

That cleaner is just an off-brand of “simple green” and is pretty weak stuff.

I clean my bicycle regularly, getting gobs of black oil and grit everywhere in the tub when I have to rinse parts.
I usually use 95% IPA and paper towel to wipe down the bathtub after. It still takes a bit of scrubbing.
If you wanted to go actually effortless on this shit, what I use on the chain itself is mineral spirits. I can literally dip it in mineral spirits and swish it back and forth a few times and have the pot turn black.
I just don't use that on the tub because I don't want to dump mineral spirits down the drain. No promises it won't eat the finish off your shower.

      >paper towel to wipe down the bathtub after
Just fyi most paper towels are extremely abrasive due to grit embedded in the paper pulp. I scratched the hell out of my bathroom until I figured this out and switched back to a cotton rag

The bike grease is already extremely abrasive due to grit of worn chain and gears, plus whatever road dust is picked up from riding in the curb lane.
Plus it's a rental unit and I'm not beating down the super's door to refinish the tub, despite the finish already peeling and flaking with jagged edges lol. I don't annoy them with non-emergency repairs, and they don't b***h about all the floor stains and wall knicks from keeping a bike indoors.

Still, solid advice to note. Particularly depending on how much you're willing to spend on paper towel (I don't know how people can stand the cheap shit brands).

If you're scrubbing for an hour you're cleaning it literally once every three years, possibly less. Made me respond: 2/10.

Uh, just use magic erasers every couple weeks. No need for chemicals.

Wtf you doing in your shower
I just spray mine down with vinegar and hose it down with the shower head once in a while

You don't want anything like that unless you have a gas mask handy. Use regular vinegar it melts calcium build up or regular bathroom cleaner and the key is use a stainless steel scouring pad, steel is softer than the enamel your shower tray is covered with but harder than the calcium build up on your bath so you can scrub it off easily without damaging the tray.

best setup ive come up with is from home depot. the gallon size hdx brand shower cleaner/soap scum remover in a small hudson sprayer. pressurize the sprayer and soak it all down. they also have ryobi branded stiff bristle brushes that you put on a drill. i strip down naked and get in the shower and go to town with a cordless makita drill and the brush on a 12" extension. then rinse it down. spotless in 10 min. protip: try and avoid having the brush sling the cleaner on your peepee. it burns. i should prob be wearing rain boots because i. sure that shit is soaking into my feet. oh well.
