Having a giggle there you little b***h? I geotraced your image and the inspectors are on their way right now. Better get that shit our of my sight or there WILL be hell to pay. Next time you ought to think twice before you post this kind of shit on my board.
The pro gamer move is to replace ungrounded outlets with unconnected grounded outlets so you're never inconvenienced by being unable to plug something in.
What's the point? Half the shit you buy these days won't fit the plug. New outlets are like $5. This is like trying to clean your car's oil filter to reuse it, it just makes no sense for the small amount of money you save.
Dude. /DIY is 25% literal trash pickers. They're mentally ill, so they don't have jobs of incomes, and they insist on displaying their trash pick prizes here. The OP is never gonna install it, he just thinks he found treasure in the trash.
Shot an a miss, buddy.
It came out of my wall. I'm replacing the old knob-and-tube wiring in my 1930s house. I'm putting it back because it's actually rated for a radio antenna from back when radios were new and needed a powerful antenna to work. Its an interesting part of the houses history.
Better luck next time, champ.
>needed a powerful antenna
The antenna doesn't use power. It's the old vacuum tubes that need it. That's one of the reasons transistor radios were such a big deal when they came out
don't see a problem with reusing it. I have tons of household electronics that never need ground. should be fine if its not a kitchen or bathroom outlet.
>I have tons of household electronics that never need ground.
Most of my two-prong devices have polarized plugs so that the hot wire can be dealt with safely inside the device. Old crap like OP's hairlooms are not polarized (and will a polarized plug even go in).
I'm really shocked about that but i'm buzzed to see the results, the replys here are really charged with hate literally the polar opposite of what i'm saying i bet you are gonna get some electrifying results

I just cut the thing off.

For real, it's because I think it's cool.
New outlets are like 86 cents

Okay, trash picker.
Whats wrong with picking trash? Let me guess you just "buy new". Okay chinaman.
He probably has a new house in the suburbs and he's threatened by SOVL.

Somebody just threw out a GFCI.
I'm now happy I didn't buy one for my project because I have a use for one.
They also threw out good pool chemicals.

Were already seeing the outcome of RvW... Who's unwanted child is this?
Thank you boomer, your puns made me laugh
They called me a madman....
good job, anon
Frick this guy. Pigtails are moronic. Do wrap the wires around the screws in the right direction
No pigtail?
You really ARE a madman.
Do it again but correctly this time.
Before your house burns down.
WELL WHO'S "MAD" NOW??
