>hire a 38 year old with no work experience besides rucking around alberta
this meme about the army needs to end, you literally choose a skill to get taught in the army. unless you choose infantry
Unless during your service you learned actual desired skills like vehicle/ machine mechanic or IT then you're not going far without veteran employment programs. Believe it or not but there's not a lot of higher-tier jobs in the real world that don't give a shit that you were enlisted if you're not worth a frick in the field you're trying to get in.
Even with alot of those "skills" unless they changed it recently those MOS do not carry over to civilian side and soldiers do not get usable certifications relatable to that field. So they are unqualified to do the same work in civilian life. In other words, get trained and used to do work for the military and have to go through school again when you get out..to be allowed to do the same thing. Military cuts red tape with these things because you are essentially slave labor.

You’re moronic.
I was in the Australian Army, I joined when I was 17 in 2009 and I completed my Infantry training and got posted to my Battalion. I then applied to a local university and got accepted into a Bachelor of Nursing which I completed part time over 6 years, doing a few subjects per semester and getting approval for time off to do my hospital placements. Once I completed my degree I transferred to the Reserves and started working as a Registered Nurse. The Australian Army doesn’t give you any money to study, I just planned my future like a fricking adult? I got to do my dream job serving in the Infantry and I left the Army directly into my next job with zero transition issues as I’m still an Infantry SNCO I’m just now in the Reserves.
If you join as a cook or some dumb POG job solely because you get some civilian qualification, why the frick are you even joining the Army? Go and work driving a forklift or type shit on a computer as a civilian. If you join some signals nerd job all you’ll get trained on is sigint equipment from the 90s and to get any civvie job you’ll need higher education anyway, all you’ve done is trade 6 years of your life for a slightly easier to get security clearance which the same civvies can get in a year tops
You’re a homosexual vaxxy who will be used to take guns from real leafs.
You’ll do nothing but sit there through fricking DEI seminars and you’ll be demoted for using the term “warrior” instead of “servicemember” or “mankind” instead of “peoplekind”
Canada is not worth fighting for and you’re a frickin gay.
Piece of shit.
Go move to le based stronk third world if you hate it so much here.

Either this is bait or youre moronic
If you were just accepted to go to RMCC then youre not in the military moron. Unless you have signed the document during the enrollment ceremony, youre not in the military. If/once you do get to RMCC (or RMCSJ) get ready for rats in your food, incompetent leadership, 3rd years shafting you because your friend fricked up, and a 27x higher suicide rate than any other university in Canada
Dying for israeli central bankers fighting the enemies of the israelites while they ethnocide you with endless waves of alien invaders in your own country.
Depends on what you go for. The recruitment issue is so bad you can basically just request any posting you want and you'll get it so long as you can shit in a toilet without hurting yourself
why would you stay longer than 4 years? who wants to hire a 38 year old with no work experience besides rucking around alberta?
