kek this isn't even that much if you've been a dedicated collector for most of your adult life. Let's say you buy yourself a new gun on your birthday and Christmas every year, you started when you were 20, and you never sold any. You'd have 40 guns in your collection by the time you're 40 years old. I didn't count every gun in the pic, but the guy looks older than 40. Most of his guns look like ARs, pump shotguns, and glonks which aren't all that expensive for basic models anyway (although he does have some pricier guns like the Tigr and SL8). It seems like a lot, but the average household that has 2-3 financed cars probably spent more money than he did on a bunch of guns that were mostly in the ballpark of $500-$1k.

Yeah, it helps to balance the rifles center of gravity. Also helps tame recoil, as slight as it may be in a 20" 5.56

National Match rifles are insane. 16-20lb loaded, absolutely zero POA shift, always shot with traditional marksmanship techniques and leather slings. They put tiny little groups on paper at 600y with 62gr, even farther with 77gr. It's a tool that distills your shooting completely down to your technique.

I'm genuinely surprised more guys on /k/ aren't into NM, if you have a handier cool guy NV/Suppressed AR you might as well go to the opposite end of the spectrum and build an obscenely heavy NM to bench/sit/prone shoot. Mk12s and SPRs are cope tier half measures

I've got 20 something guns around my house so cutting it down to 9 is plenty minimalist.

AR- Colt SP-1 with a Colt 3x20 on top. Mayne an extra set of wood furniture because I like it.
AK- AK74u. Smol AK is best AK.
DMR- M14 with AN/PSV 4. For hunting charlie at night.
    SMG- H&K UMP45
    Shotgun- Franchi Instinct LX
Bolt Action- Modelo Argentino 1895 Carbine
    Pistols- H&K USP45 Elite,Styer M40A1, Jericho 941R.

Real minimalist reduces to the Colt SP1 and the Styer M40A1.

Why bother? If I had to I'd get an SLR-106. I'd rather take one of my battle rifles.

I would just take my USP and Makarov. If I had to get a third idk, probably my M1917 revolver because its cool.

It depends on the role. If I were a militiapersonpeoplekind I would have an ar15 ideally, otherwise the situation means I will use anything so long as I can swap it out with something I can better trust my life with.
If I am a hunter than I probably want a shotgun in 12 gauge, low power for small game, slugs and buckshot for bigger game. This works for self defense too. The only downside being is that you don't need to shoot 12 guage for all aniimals, too expensive. but it works
