It's not totally fiction, the movie Jacob's Ladder was based on real event's, the US military was working on a drug, that would turn soldiers into ruthless moralless killing machines, and used in Vietnam. And the outcome was just the same as in the movie, (they began killing their own).

I recon the type of chemical they'd be working on and using was more akin to the Rage Virus from 2 weeks later, a genetically modified rabbies that keeps you alive, but become a bloodthirsty monsters that would not only kill every living thing around them, including their own.

A parasite infection would make more sense for triggering a zombie apocalypse than a virus would. It's nearly always a virus in media, but what virus causes massive changes in behaviour? We know of countless of parasites in the Amazon that all target a specific insect taking complete control over the host. Why Hollywood doesn't use this angle more is beyond me.

In a hypothetical scenario like a zombie apocalypse, it's understandable that you might feel skeptical about the response of leaders, the military, and the wealthy. While I can't predict exactly how individuals would behave in such a situation, I can offer some points for discussion:

    1. Responsibility of Leaders: It's true that leaders might face difficult decisions during a crisis, including prioritizing their own safety or the safety of a specific group. However, it's important to note that leaders are generally expected to act in the best interest of their people. Abandoning the population entirely would likely have severe consequences, as social order and stability are crucial for leaders to maintain control.

    2. Military Response: The military is typically well-trained to handle emergencies and protect the population. While there might be some initial confusion or disruption, military personnel are often committed to their duty and the defense of their country. They would likely receive new orders and adapt their strategies to address the threat of a zombie apocalypse.

    3. Wealthy Individuals: It's true that some wealthy individuals might have the means to secure their safety through private islands or heavily fortified compounds. However, it's important to remember that socioeconomic status doesn't dictate the behavior of every person. Many affluent individuals contribute to philanthropic causes and are invested in the well-being of society. Additionally, a complete breakdown of society would have far-reaching consequences, impacting even the wealthy.

    4. Collaboration and Cooperation: In the face of a zombie apocalypse or any major crisis, people often come together and form communities to increase their chances of survival. Human history has shown numerous examples of collective action in dire situations. In such scenarios, solidarity and cooperation become critical for overcoming challenges.

      AnonGPT

Ultimately, the outcome of a hypothetical zombie apocalypse would depend on various factors, including the specific individuals involved, the nature of the zombie threat, and the resilience of human society. While it's natural to have concerns and doubts, it's important to remember that humans have a remarkable capacity for adaptation, cooperation, and survival in times of crisis.

It's a satirical symbol for how fast groupthink and mob mentality spread in the modern world
Its predictive programming for a world where more and more pandemic outbreaks are prone to occur as a result of international travel and mass immigration
It calls into question the exact difference between "living" and "dead" again using the zombies vs survivors conflict as another symbol

I love and hate zombie flick culture for eventually thought provoking movie there's several "The Walking Deads". In the end everyone dies and no one can escape death(i.e. the contagion) yet certain producers are dead set on leaving with an ominous happy ending that leaves plenty of room for the sequel.

Funny how people still talk about a "zombie apocalypse" as if it's not already here.
You got these libtards who are being killed by the people they bring in, yet they insist that we should bring in even more of them.
What is that if not a zombie? Are you going to try to argue with it? Or will you put a bullet in its skull?
No zombie movie ever ended with the heroes coming to a diplomatic solution with their assailants. They just killed them all.

      Anonymous

Thats....not necessarily the case with NPCs. Your 'zombies' would be the feral refugees running amok in the first world because all they know is the war and chaos of their homeland. Your political adversaries, *checks notes* the liberals, they would be the zombie sympathizers.

You can't kill the mother or close family member of the infected without becoming infected yourself(reminder: the symbol of 'zombification' is aggressive self preservation).

Instead arrange a deal with said sympathizers to be the zombie handler, kept under strict lock and key, making sure they understand they will be put down along with their pet for the greater good if shit gets outta hand. Then wait for the inevitable.

The message neibg even when society crumbles good men of high standing morals and integrity must still stand firm. Obviously a bullet to the dome, as soon as possible, is preferred but only after safely exhausting each and every other possible option and not a moment sooner lest you become a monster yourself because we all know 'it ain't the dead ya gotta worry about' in these sorts of scenarios

    I don't think so

The rich are only rich because of the ponzi scheme of israelite paper. If they don't have a population to exploit they stop being rich and luxury disappears

They will try to stop it in only to preserve the current society that serves them well

    Any zombies are not logical

People will just start wearing 5 inch padded clothing and it would be neutralized among other reasons. One well stocked APC can clear a city since zombies can't bite through tanks. etc.

We've reached a point where a zombie outbreak would not necessarily be a mass extinction event but that's if and only if the current world powers are able to work out protocols of quarantine in a timely manner.

Usually the first 48 hours, days, weeks etc determine the intensity and survivability of the event as its usually a cover up that leads to a mass outbreak and pandemonium etc BEFORE we start doing fire bomb runs and salvage.

More people will die by the hands of the still living surivors than zombies during the initial outbreak

I said this over and over, to prove covid was fake, during the fake covid 'pandemic.' IF covid had been real, then the very public multi millionaire elite media figures like Anderson cooper, Chris Cuomo and others, would have abandoned their jobs on the first day and spirited away to their private islands to survive the deadly pandemic.

The fact they stayed in the big city, proved covid was fake, and they knew covid was fake since the first day.
