>45 GAP aka 45 GAY >.45 Super or just .45ACP +P, noguns Black person >.45 Colt +p+ not a thing >.45-70 is a rifle cartridge >.450 Bushmaster is a rifle cartridge
can anyone explain what makes 45gays so insecure? they already have the best round they shoot a lot right, so why the coping and constant comparing? is it because 45 was dropped by serious organizations worldwide or what?
Because metric is gay. Same reason the US civillian market wouldn't accept 7.62x51 and 5.55x45 until they were marketed in imperial units.
It's really that stupid and simple
10mm is more powerful than 45 acp by a substantial amount. 10mm is a low end magnum cartridge (similar to 357 mag) while 45 acp is a mid range duty cartridge (about halfway between 9mm and .40 s&w)
Asking why they don't replace one with the other is like asking the US military why they don't replace .50 bmg with 20mm autocannons. They could do that, but enough problems can be solved with the relatively weaker 50 bmg that it doesn't really justify the overall increase in overhead
Who are you talking out your ass to? Dide you read my post? The only point I made is that metric is gay. That's it. Metric units are for non-American barbarians. Simple as. Why no 10mm wide adoption in the US? Because "mm" is fricking lame. We use inches here. Imperial units for the greatest empire that's ever existed. I don't care about power relative to other cartridges, differences in energy, or sectional density, or expansion, or recoil. I care about nominclature. I know 10mm is more powerful than 45acp. But that's not the point I made, and it's not even a point I alluded to. Shave your fricking face and take goddamn hike kiddo
Reminder to advocate the superiority of .45 ACP to 9mmgays and then when they go on about how 9mm is more effective point out how 5.7mm is superior to 9mm by the same metrics they are using. Their brains will start to melt as they use the same arguments they'll normally disregard when spoken in favor of .45 APC.
The .45 got more expansion proportionally than the 9mm and .40 in that pic, you can tell by how you can't see the bottom of the JHP cavity clearly with them. That's a bit unusual for HSTs and indicates the results may have been cherry picked or at least not apples to apples to exaggerate the difference. I actually have some expanded HSTs, a 230gr .45 and a couple 147gr ones. Frankly the conclusion I took away was the opposite. While the .45 looks a lot bigger overall/at a distance part of that's almost like a trick or the eye. It's hard to put into words but if you instead just look at the frontal area of the meplat of the bullet or trace an outline of it(they're just hole punches after all) then the difference is smaller than your monkey brain feels like it should be. The .6" or so circle and .7" or so one aren't all that different. Not enough difference to make a difference IMO, and the 9mm carries more is cheaper to practice with and recoils less. At least for me, looking at expanded JHPs of different calibers in person reaffirmed the idea that there's little difference between them outside of extreme outliers
Everyone always says modern bullet design makes 9mm comparable to .45, as if those same advances in design don’t also improve .45.
All the military and police agencies adopted 9mm because they have to be appropriate for the lowest common denominator, AKA women and manlets who can’t handle large frame guns and recoil.
I'm not talking shit, I'm educating you. We've already had modern updates to the cartridge. When you load the case with an appropriate amount of propellant for the size of the cartridge you get stuff like 460 rowland, 45 super. These are cartridges with a braggable amount of fpe, more inline with mid range magnums (a bit below 44 mag on avg) whereas 45 acp is really nothing special.
I haven't seen any proof that .45 Super provides improved terminal ballistics relative to .45 ACP, the opposite in fact. You'd need to redesign the projectiles, .45 Super maybe makes sense for a bear gun where you want zero expansion and maximum penetration, but then why not just use 10mm?
If it’s not a .74 cal ball then lower your torn.
is retirement really so boring that you felt compelled to make this thread?
.45 GAP
.45 Super
.45 Colt +p+
.45-70
.450 Bushmaster
...but not .45 ACP.

And what do you have to say about .460 Rowland?
.++45
>>.45-70 is a rifle cartridge
45-70 can be anything you want it to be.
Excuse me sir, 45-70 is indeed a handgun round, look no further then the ladies home companion. It’s dainty enough for the weakest of ladies wrists.
>.45 Colt +p+
Regular .45 long colt isn't anything to sneeze at either.
ok, boomer

cognitive dissonance between strongly believing that .45 is teh bestest ever and witnessing its irrelevance.
>using expanding lead hollowpoints in 2024
Must be fun to still be living in 1995
The only other viable option is JSP. Everything else is a meme
>Must be fun to still be living in 1995
I bet it would
>I carry a 45 caas set don't make uh 50GI
>oh wait
Enjoy your black powder era cartridge

>If it's a .45ACP
It's a trap
10mm Auto shits all over 45 AARP in every metric. Pic related, typical footwear of 1911 owners.
Why wouldn't someone just use 10mm nowadays, compared to 45ACP?
Same reason wristlets used 9mm instead of 45AARP. 10mm is truly best mm.
The only reason 10mm exists is to be necked down into God's cartridge.
Because metric is gay. Same reason the US civillian market wouldn't accept 7.62x51 and 5.55x45 until they were marketed in imperial units.

Yeah, and I'm telling you that you're wrong. Case in point: 9x19mm parabellum
I didn't read most of your post
>Case in point
>doesn't make a point
>has no case
>zoomer brain can't read more than 1 sentence without losing focus
his point is obviously that 9mm is extremely popular in the US despite being a metric round you fricking mouthbreather
Holy based. I never see based shit on here.
Frick the Metric psyop israelite garbo.
There is literally no tactical advantage of NOT being bisexual
Only thing 45 AARP has going for it is that it is a gem to suppress out of a USP or FNX-45, that is an orgasmic experience.

So is .50GI better than .45ACP then?
Using your metric.
Yes.

/threa
Unfortunately they didn't improve 45 acp because it's still using the same ancient pressure standard of 21000 psi
The cartridge is mostly full of air
You're also mostly full of air but you don't hear us talking shit nonstop

these kinda look like prime buttholes
