>service rifle explicitly stated to be the main focus of the trial >"automatic rifle" variant was specifically stipulated that it did not need to be belt-fed
Sig got the contract before the competition was even announced. TV could have brought an M4 that weighed 3 pounds, had .50 BMG ballistics, and kicked like a .22lr and Sig still would have taken it.
>PROVEN garbage shit SIG pistol gets adopted over excellent competing options >not yet proven garbage shit SIG rifle gets adopted over excellent competing options
I think we're starting to see a pattern here. Just wat a few years for Youtube comparison videos to start coming out.

while they have extensive experience fricking the dog on many defense projects, who would expect them to be able to design a competent rifle? there's no way 350 agile trained engineers can create something that small and intricate. it takes a couple of dudes who hate each other sitting in a machine shop all day with an infinite supply of cigarettes to design a viable weapon
I genuinely have no idea. I asked if he could get one for me, believing that it was an impossible task. Apparently he contacted True Velocity and was somehow able to order one

Well frick you anon. For either being
a) a lying bastard, or
b) the luckiest fricking bastard
If it actually happens please post pictures and impressions.
I’ll definitely make a thread when/if I get it. I’m not bullshitting about the whole thing, but I honestly still have doubts that it’s even possible. I hope he comes through with this. Frick even if he does, I won’t have the ammo to shoot it for a awhile

All I know is he said this morning was that he had one on order and that it would arrive at the end of the week at the earliest, or sometime next week. I haven’t paid anything, so it’s not some type of scam. All I can do is wait and see
>overseas interest
This always sounds like a gigantic cope for failed designs. This one was designed and produced by Beretta though, so maybe they really did get someone else interested in it.
>I said he would order it on Monday and he did
I'm genuinely rooting for this to somehow be real. I don't care if it probably isn't I was so damn bummed when the civ version suddenly all got shitcanned.
If you want to indulge this game of pretend/reality any further anon, did they say/claim what it will be chambered in? Still there on 6.8 poly round (in which case ammo will probably be unobtanium for you even if you got it) or is it rechambered in 6.5 or 308 or something?
It would be chambered in the unobtanium 6.8 TVC round. I wish it was rechambered in something normal, but it is what it is. If my friend can actually get his hands on one of these, then I’m sure I can also get my hands on some ammo. I’ll probably have to drop a few grand on ammo though
Yeah it'd be worth it anyway if real, and they had enough extra ammo made for GT to blaze away with it in that video with an old beat up one.
If some civilian prototypes or early runs were made before it was all killed maybe they exist but yeah guess you'll find out.

He told me that he could order ammo from them at like $3/round, which causes me physical pain to think about

lol, though better clarify whether it's 6.8. they were selling 308 and the like in polymer and yeah for ludicrous stupid prices. Without the military contract to scale production it's a pricey novelty for the time being.

Ya it was for the 6.8 round. The 308 rounds only go for a little under $1/round

uh nope. 70 bucks a box everywhere i've looked for 7.62. Now 5.56 was only 25 a box which is a little absurd when you look at the .308 pricing.

Ah shit you’re right I was looking at the wrong thing when I checked 308 pricing. Well that still doesn’t change what my friend told me about the 6.8 ammo

Yeah without that mil contract its a shame this ammo is going to take another decade to take off. like
Even if they didn't adopt the guns, they should have fricking lept on that cartridge tech like it was a winning lottery ticket covered in crack. Its a straight upgrade in every way and is usable in every other gun we have. Tell them to come back using that round as a base and go from there
said they should have instantly adopted the polymer case ammo and told everyone to make a gun in it
if the dod had gone for that, the durka durkas would call us soldiers gay whenever they showed up to a war. it looks like something they would stick up the asses of their fat american wives to give them sexual pleasure

You people are fricking moronic. The smuzzle looks fine.

Bullpups are a dead end design. Nobody has made one good enough to interest the biggest buyers of military products and every state that adopted one is moving to conventional rifles leaving Israel, the only serious current bullpup user, to stick to their X95s solely on nothing more than national pride
Even Civilians don't want these and who can blame them when every one of these guns experiences QC issues, costs more than most ARs and somehow performs worse
>US Army adopted yet another AR driven rifle over a bullpup >Rest of the world has moved to HK416 or some conventional rifle with some holdouts >INSECURE AR USER

what trial?
Word around /k/ has mentioned that USSOCOM is doing a bullpup trial but nowhere else has mentioned hide nor hair of this. I reckon it's bullshit

not this fricking shit again
commit suicide OP

It was too innovative
I rooted for it because it looked cool

You can already see a few. The recoil and weight alone were already infinitely better than the SIG piece of shit.

I wish.

>friend has one on order for me
It’ll arrive by the end of this week or the next. I’m so fricking excited. Only $3,300
Wait what? Where can you even buy those? I was dead convinced they weren't gonna make any for the civilian market after they lost the contract
I genuinely have no idea. I asked if he could get one for me, believing that it was an impossible task. Apparently he contacted True Velocity and was somehow able to order one
You know you have to make a thread when you get it, right? Assuming you ain't bullshitting anyway.

You should post all the specs like weight and sharp pictures of the internals next to a ruler because there are none on the internet.
stick your dick in it
>yeah my uncle works at nintendo and you can get mew behind the truck if you do the road loop 101 times!
why would you do this to us 🙁
Nah he’s just a random FFL holder who is in the army.
I’ll make a thread regardless of what happens for all you anons

Hello, I am a dealer for TV ammunition and they said that the Amicus was cancelled for civilian market due to overseas interest of the rifle.
Not very amicusable of them.
¯_(ツ)_/¯

The order got shipped either last night or this morning. Hopefully it’ll arrive by the end of the week, if not early next week
I’m 100% convinced it would’ve won had it a normal looking can instead of the moron chode.
