The US warned Russia this attack was imminent last week. Putin actually dismissed it in a speech last Tuesday. He said "these actions resemble outright blackmail and the intention to intimidate and destabilise our society".

I'm calling my rep on the intelligence committee tomorrow and telling them not to release the intel like Russia has demanded.

The Russians were publicly and undeniably warned that "an attack on a large public gathering was imminent". Russia publicly and undeniably dismissed the warning. If russia wanted more intel, then they've got it now.

No I mean just a few hours ago, Russia demanded that the USA give them all the intel they had on the attack and on those who carried it out.
I do not want my country giving Russia that intel for an attack they were warned about and ignored while they're terrorizing Ukraine.

It was against the Taliban and al-Qaeda, not Afghanistan, and it wasn't just the US.

The hijackers in the September 11 attacks were 19 men affiliated with Islamist jihadist organization al-Qaeda. They hailed from four countries; 15 of them were citizens of Saudi Arabia, two were from the United Arab Emirates, one was from Egypt, and one from Lebanon. The pilots all trained in Afghanistan, and it's generally thought that they were the only ones who knew it was a suicide mission. The rest hadn't prepared any wills or death notes.

This is actually good evidence against it being ISIS. They intend to become martyrs, but here they seem to be avoiding it. They would have at least attacked elsewhere by now, but all indications are they're genuinely retreating and regrouping.

ISIS claimed responsibility quicker than the local news reported the event, and security footage shows "brown skinned men" performing the attacks. It's actually probably ISIS.

I only hear about "ISIS claiming responsibility" through the US government. I nor anyone I know actually has access to this Amaq, and Russian channels are claiming it's fake. No one described the attackers as "brown skinned", just "bearded". To me this is all unverifiable.

Yes but so would the US government, I only see two competing claims and both look compatible with the information I can actually see.

If you have the ability to access russian channels, I find it hard to believe you couldn't find an arabic telegram channel. Don't give me that internet suppression spiel. You're already bypassing it to access russian media.

Also "all the news is coming from the US gov" is bullshit. I'm seeing reports from various public news agencies, and all of them are showing footage from the event. Phone recordings and security cameras.

                >If you have the ability to access russian channels, I find it hard to believe you couldn't find an arabic telegram channel.
I have second-hand reports of it on Twatter and Wikipedia. I'm not directly accessing these Russian channels either.
                >Also "all the news is coming from the US gov" is bullshit
The specific claim that ISIS is responsible only gets to me through US government and media while I see their Russian counterparts denying it, and I have circumstantial doubts about this story, since it doesn't match the ISIS MO and happened in the middle of a wave of Ukrainian attacks on domestic Russian targets in recent days.

You're trying to think critically but you're being lobsided in which sources you're critical of. If you apply equal scepticism to all sources, it's more likely that ISIS did it than not. More sources point to them, one of the sources is a known primary, and the only denying source is notoriously unreliable with a conflict of interest on this particular matter.

ISIS operatives DO NOT want to survive their attacks. Jannah is the whole point. If security is too inept to take them out, they would at least keep attacking more and more suicidally, or literally just kill themselves. What these people did is nothing like their MO.

True. A functioning dictator would actually care that there was this kind of security breach about to take place in his capital city. Putin spent three days sneering at the warnings (on the record, lmao), so it's a little late for him to scapegoat an underling.

        BREAKING: PUTIN SPEECH EXCERPT LEAKED

        >Ladies and gentlemen, Russia has received irrefutable evidence that the government of the United Kingdom aided one Gerhardt Falken in the attack on the Crocus Theatre as part of a plot to bring about the reunification of Crimea by force. We have in our possession classified British documents which prove that the UKgovernment planned to bring down the Russian government and use the resulting period of internal confusion to achieve their aim of remaking Ukraine into the principal continental power in Europe yet again. All Europeans know what that would mean to world peace.
