The mags arent shit. Theyre nothing to talk about but the real problem with the tomcat is you cant dry fire without breaking the firing pin, the firing pin is held in place by a retention pin that is often peened to the outside of the slide making removal very challenging (that frickin thing was on there) and lastly, racking the slide to chamber a round takes a lot more pressure than you expect. Its not really challenging just more of a pain in the ass than it should be. Thats why they have the tip up barrel feature i believe. You should probably get a micro 9 since theres a bunch of options for them, most arent that much bigger than the tomcat and all of them bring more firepower/capacity to the table.
But i still love my tomcat amd take her frickin everywhere.

Beretta tomcat in .32 acp. I own two of these. Neat, but the guns so compact I've lost it in my home on more then one occasion. No other complaints.

I own one of these. Neat, but there's not but one, maybe two, holsters made especially for it. No other complaints.

It fits in standard m9a1 holsters, not sure if anyone made specific 92X holsters that’d stop it due to the difference in trigger guard, it fits in all vertec/m9a1/m9a3 style holsters

Here it’s in a Brigadier Duty holster since sometimes I want to carry a brigadier

It’s a very nice jacket, not sure if it’s worth 350 MSRP but I got it at 1/3 or that. I don’t have any other 350 dollar jackets to compare it to, except my Gibson Barnes CWU-36 which is entirely different

Somehow in my drunken stupor I found a post about a Beretta handgun, a gun know for keeping poor schmucks alive for far longer than deserved. Apparently this second amendment minded citizen wanted a more compact version. I couldn't help but be drawn into this strange confession of ignorance, knowing that Beretta did actually make a compact version, but that it made little difference anyways. He was here, I was here, two poor fools arguing over pointless semantics like the American Dream was going out of style."

The closest thing to a subcompact 92 would be the taurus pt908. I'm not a taurus fan but that model was apparently well made. It uses a regular tilting barrel instead of the link but otherwise it's a single stack compact 92.

I wouldn't mind seeing a resurgence of hammer fired guns now that the carry segment has become the main focus of the market. Considering that fanboys will buy anything, it would be hard to make a dud, especially if you were the first to market.

Beretta just came out with the Cheetah 80X in .380... with a frame safety. 😛

        >just came out

Not sure if serious. The Cheetah has been in continuous production, though rarely imported to the US, for 47 years. If you believe .380 ACP to be adequate, it's an excellent choice for a metal-framed, hammer-fired gun. I would not buy one, modernized or original, for their street price.

At least two turkshit versions of the Cheetah are also available if you're into new, otherwise used Cheetahs from dusty yuro police arsenals still show up.

I feel like a lot of it comes from this idea where if you cannot draw and fire in an instant then you're already dead, or at least that's how my coworker thinks. But a smaller barrel or frame really doesn't make much of a difference.

i got a 21a fun as hell. impractical of course. was thinking of getting the cheetah but that shit is a bit pricey for my cheap ass so I'll prob grab this turk clone instead. tip barrel though seems sick
