I want to replace windows in my house. I have about 50 of them. Who makes the nicest windows? I have some money saved up. I think I'd like to spend about 1k per window (I will install myself)

Cant go wrong with Bolena
>50 windows
How? Is your house made of glass? Do you count every individual pane as a window?

Don't encourage OP. He's either a fruit who actually owns a million dollar house and wants to impress us that he has $50k to throw away on an upgrade (that he will install himself AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH), or he's a troll.
Bruh its a standard mcmansion that I bought for less than 100k above the average price in my state. I've been fixing it up to not suck.
It's not that hard, really.
My unimpressive 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath house, built in the 90's, has just a stupid number of windows.
Master bedroom with 5 windows.
Ensuite with 2 window.
Walk-in closet with 1 window
2 bedrooms with 4 windows each.
1 bedroom with 3 windows.
Living room 4 windows.
Family/Great room 8 windows and 2 sliding glass doors.
Kitchen 1 window and another sliding glass door.
Dining room 1 window.
Laundry Room 1 window.
Garage 3 windows.
Also the front door is one of those with the tall narrow set of windows next to it.
So that's like 38 windows and 3 sliding glass doors.
I would love to replace them with less worn, more efficient windows. But there's so many I can't even begin to afford it right now.
I have a small house and it has almost 30
50 wouldn't be that hard
Marvin
I was looking at Marvin essential line. Is there something better?
Office room 6 windows (like 5 ft tall each)
living room 6 big windows + 7 small windows
sun room 7 big windows 6 small windows
ect..
Big windows = 6ft tall or so. Small windows = bit over a ft tall
>Is there something better?
There's always something better.
pella or find a custom shop
JeldWen gang reporting in
Look at Weather Shield. they have a nice clad window and their new Vue aluminum windows are pretty nice. big benefit on their clad windows is they use solid stock wood on the interior instead of a veneer.
have you installed replacement windows before? what kind of siding on the house? you going with replacement style windows or new construction?
I did a patio door. Vinyl siding buy In gonna nuke it. New construction.
I'm gonna measure all my windows and get a quote from Zola aluminum windows. Maybe euro style windows are nicer?
But I am going to*
yea that's the best way. I don't know much about brands but i feel about windows a lot like i feel about modern power tools.. the stuff they're making today is just leaps and bounds ahead of the stuff from 20-30 years ago. Even budget stuff is a great value with some of the warranties you can get. I also think windows these days are like concrete in the sense that all concrete cracks.. all windows with multi-pane insulated assemblies will leak and oxidize and fog.. so get a good warranty on the glass or find a local place who will replace it.
I would do single material casement windows (vinyl, fiberglass, aluminum)
Don't get the wood+vinyl/aluminum shit as they'll always rot
Casements (crank windows) actually shut tight where as single and double hungs never will
Andersen, Marvin, Windsor, crestline, jeldwen, pella
Don't get anything with wood
Even basic cheap vinyl windows will last and be efficient when installed correctly
Did nobody ask about OP's climate?
Every (real) window company has windows for each part of the US
