Not a moronic decision, they’re really fun here’s mine. I recommend getting the lucky irishman bolt release as the stock bolt release can be stiff. I actually just got back from the range, I bought it a month ago and have put 3 freedom buckets through plus an assortment of random greentips.
Once you get the gas settings dialed in, overgas it by a click and it’ll eat any ammo you want. I have had a single malfunction, where I didn’t push the mag far enough in. Other than that it’s very reliable because it’s just a simple piston design.
BTW in from Poland, so chances of getting any aftermarket parts for it are near-zero, unless I import them myself for 2x the price, But I'll keep your advice in mind.
I’m also in a place where aftermarket parts are hard to find. The Lucky Iroshman holt release went through customs as simply “lever sample - mechanical” so it only cost like an addition 10 usd equivalent in customs and wasnt seized

No idea, but their KSG shotguns are quite popular here, and I've yet to hear any complains about them from any of my range people - but shotguns are realtively simple, so maybe it doesnt affect them.
Their rimfire pistols jam frickton here, prolly due to shitty .22 ammo though

They are shit guns for poorgays and morons. Cheap polymer breaks easily, including the stock and the grip. Constant fiddling with the gas system to get them to run right, even on the same type of ammo. Shit ejection port means clearing jams requires a toothbrush and 15 minutes of your time. These really don't fit any kind of demand when there's stuff like the X95 and VHS/Hellion out there. I'd even take an MDR over this pile of shit quite frankly.
Keltec is known for making garbage products, this is no exception. Honestly man don't waste your money. All the proponents of this gun have like 200 rounds through them and go on about WOWWEEE reliability.

oh cool, post your RDB, I bought an abused one at a gun shop and it worked even absolutely filthy, with a firing pin broken into 3 parts, a broken hammer spring (it has 2)and the gas setting nearly turned off. the firing pin was an issue with early RDBs.
I sold that one to a guy with a machine shop because the previous owner had rocksett the rail screws into place and I didn't have the capability to undo that. then I bought a second and it's been flawless for about a year.
also it's got the best bullpup trigger I've tried.

Any intermediate-caliber rifle isn't gonna be it. You want a PCC, a precision rifle, or a shotgun, depending on whether you have a conveniently accessible 600+ yard range or not, or a local skeet/trap/sporting clays venue.

Will never recommend this thing to anyone. Had an RFB and it was meh, sold it and got an RDB. Nonstop jams and FTEs no matter I did with gas settings. Traded it in for a .357 Rossi lever gat and it jams 100x less even with a teeny loading gate.
The one I shot was pretty cool. I'd recommend it
the balance is really bad and the "new" one i got had scrapes all over the grip. plastic feels like a toy nerf gun. make it cost $100 more and use good polymer, don't sell guns with crooked barrels, and make the rear stock a solid one piece. all badic stuff to improve but Keltec doesn't give a frick and thinks their customers are dumb c**ts so they never change anything. they are like chevy, they just keep making shit until they discontinue it and replace it with new shit.
I find the balance spectacular but i’m used to 20” SPR ARs that weigh 13 pounds.

Just make sure you check (and tighten) every single screw on the gun when you get it and every 1000 rounds or so. I've lucked out over the years and prevented most of mine from falling out using loctite, but my cheek guard is hanging on by only one because it's all original

FFS don't mess with the screws on the top rail. that's what borks RDBs.
The ejection mechanism is moronic. Other than that it's good.
Basically the problem is that free travel behind the magazine = reliability, if you introduce an additional ejection mechanism behind the magazine you've gone and pissed away your free travel leading to an unreliable gun. The shirt bolt carrier is a good idea, if they had made an ejection system that works above the magazine and not behind it they would have ended up with a very reliable bullpup with a decently short stock.
