What a massive cope when faced with the realization that the US produced the best guided rocket artillery in the world. And in the most numbers too

That fricked up Patriot intercept was user/operator error. They didn’t even have urban upturn enabled.

30 HIMARS systems would end the war in Ukraine’s favor. This is like the modern day stinger. The stinger ended the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan in the 80s

It’s not a bold statement. HIMARS has been leveling ammo depots from range the past 2 weeks and you’re just crying about it.

The stingers played a role when first introduced in 83. By late 84 they were almost completely ineffective. The soviets changed their tactics when flying, cowlings on engines and in general flew lower to reduce Red-eye and stinger effectiveness

Read Afghansty. It goes through why the soviets collapsed

        > The soviets changed their tactics when flying
Bingo. That’s why the stinger was so devastatingly effective. It forced the hinds to fly incredibly low exposing them to machine gun fire

        >Mujahideen are given a trickle of stingers throughout the campaign via Pakistan
        >they practice with a dummy plane strung between two buildings to learn how to aim and fire
        >still manages to take down numerous helis and planes
        >forces Russians to reduce their air abilities and risk crashes into the ground/ gun fire
        >americans updated the stinger to be even more effective against soviet countermeasures
It definitely had a role to play in making Afghanistan a shitstorm for them

The most important weapons are dumb artillery, not even guided one, and a soldier's rifle. Everything else is secondary.

No it’s guided rockets artillery that can strike deep behind the lines at enemy supply depots. Nice cope though

um...what have they achieved so far that has earned them the label '' most important weapons of the war''?

Well they only received a small amount of them and now they have been able to blow up Russian supply dumps deep into Russian held territory. Plus they make you absolutely seethe

That was happening before they were received though

Source? I can find 8 or 9 examples in the past 2 weeks. Considerably more since the HIMARS came online

You can’t film a HIMARS shot from launch to impact without a dedicated satellite. The fact that the strikes happening outside of conventional artillery range and are too big for TB2 carried weapons confirms HIMARS
