i just bought affordable land in arkansas

>not owning land at all to build the "tornado" shelter in 2022
now what? do i just live in a doghouse free of codes and stake a mailbox in the ground after getting the 911 address? taxes are current and it has direct rural hwy semi truck accessibility. it's basically a flat roblox baseplate with one george bush about 8 feet wide 5 feet tall on it.

i cant believe people slave away for 30 years in other parts of this country to own shit just because it's not in arkansas. i'm already mortgage free in my 20s and it's time to grow the garden. it really seems this easy.... get a 7,500 personal loan on credit, build prefab 650sq ft home with solar and atmospheric water generator, and graywater to contribute to the garden. if i need septic i have a toilet in some corner disguised as a nightstand or something and never use it.

so PrepHole now that i skipped the whole 30 years of slaving thing how do i just be a retired boomer for the rest of my life? i skipped the crux of capitalism, now i just want to win.

I grew up in Georgia. I will be near west-central Arkansas. Is this the kind of place where you can shoot a deer on the side of the road throw it in your ford ranger and pay your coworker's uncle in logs to process the meat for you?

Just about. If you cross the border into Oklahoma it is for sure that way. I visited some family of mine just across the Border in Oklahoma who have a cattle ranch. I spotted a coyote on the ranch while we were driving around. She stopped the truck, pulled a rifle out from under the back seat and shot the coyote all in less than 20 seconds like it's something she's done a thousand times. Said if it had been a deer we would have been eating venison for dinner.

I am a hermit you're on PrepHole calling people names let's keep this in perspective here. I will be laughing in free dollars and zero cents in 10 years from my wraparound porch organic food forest while you're still budgeting between mortgage and childcare and doing gasoline math since you are too busy focusing on trivialities and speeding 10mph over the limit to still not have enough free time to wholly raise a child in god's (or nature's) image. do you grasp onto the idea of more money is more happy?

composing toilets and graywater plumbing is an easier way to do this shit than paying for some contractor to rip up the ground to put a pipe in. it's all superficial we all gotta poop and dont need 500 feet of circular piping underground to acheive this feat.

        >I will be laughing in free dollars and zero cents in 10 years from my wraparound porch organic food forest
Will be? Honestly man. I'm happy for you but farming isn't as easy as they make it sound. Its a lot of work. Have some humility.

        Here is one scenario.
Build a cabin on an 8'x20' trailer. A trailer with a current tag is not a structure, in many places.

        Build it in the parking lot of a Lowe's, (well . . . they <might> let you..... 🙂 ).

Anyway. Consider building it in a city and taking it to Ruralvania. Think of all the trips to the store involved in the project.

When you get there, you will have a place to sleep on day 1.

If you need to get it towed there, it still might be a good idea.

Also, if the deal falls through sometime later, you can cut your losses and take it with you.

After you set it up, build porches as desired. After that, outbuildings might be totally casual.
This is the important part. Be part of the community. Go to church. Totally the best option. Acceptance and networking.
If church is not your thing, volunteer somewhere and be nice to people.

I have a few kids, a mortgage, but I'm in a very rural part of my state. I garden, hunt and fish about 50% of my stuff and its a good activity to teach my boys. However, if I were single, I would highly consider buying a 40 acre plot and moving a big ol' double wide to the BACK of the property, or at least a far walk to home. If it weren't for the social connotation that came with living in a trailer I wouldn't mind it. Some of them are nice, 2-3 bedrooms and a living room and kitchen. Got everything you need.

op here. Guess it's important to mention this is not the secluded cabin in the woods but a flat plot along a state highway. In perhaps 10 years I will arrive at that point.

the only way I exist is how I present myself on the internet, surely I never exercise humility because of the architecture of my online post.

if he is satisfied with it he has reasons to brag

They're just being a typical southerner, but one who has exercised this formula to communicate frequently.
In the cultural South, it's common for people to NOT extend a relationship leading to harmony, but instead seek reasons to challenge others with outwardly displayed behavioral traits of a dissatisfied high school bully. Men get in fights over their 10-minute commute being slowed by 90 seconds as they are invincible teenagers mentally. On the road, this displays itself as Arkansas' high pedestrian fatality rate, drunk driving rate, roadside arrest rate, assault rate, etc. If you STOP at a STOP sign people become visibly distraught, a hint at the local literacy rate (this one is a knock on character, of course day kan reed goodly). Many of these hot-heads are churchgoers with families who have more understanding of the firearm and political figures than their creator's text, turning them blind to their hypocrisy. Ever seen the video of two dogs barking their heads off at one other when leashed, but then don't do anything once free? That's my impression of those Johnny Cash wannabes. See

          >every day becoming an adventure
How many acres? You'll want to layout a rotating schedule based upon plot sizes and adventure needs.

per advice from a happy ex-military individual I am about 0.6 us acre and that allows for an 'entry-level' scale suitable for my expectations. Solar panels, raised bed gardens, and a coco coir geodesic dome greenhouse recessed perhaps a foot or two in the ground if I can repurpose that dirt. After I use the land and grow out of it I can take the money I saved and build a code-compliant home to sell to normies at a markup.

As per I plan to upgrade to a 40ac plot in the future or one of those large hollows in the woods.

yeah you come across excited but undeservedly wienery. First of all, impressing people on this website is a moronic aspiration. Second of all, it comes across as douchey to someone like me, who has accomplished more than many people on this site by owning a few homes and large pieces of land. I grow 50% of my food, hunt, fish, and garden. Its pretty hard to do with a family but its better than the alternative where I buy everything from the store and play video games in my spare time like losers. Even just doing what I've done, in addition to my grandpa owning a farm growing up. I'm just saying its a lot of work, and expensive. I would love to have Solar but its a big initial investment, as is farming/gardening. You need gas and a tractor and dirt, a plow, etc. Also a shitload of water.

            > I will be laughing in free dollars and zero cents in 10 years from my wraparound porch organic food forest while you're still budgeting between mortgage and childcare and doing gasoline math since you are too busy focusing on trivialities

I support you trying, but get ready, its not an easy thing to do. And if you wage slave to live like that, why is it so bad that other people wage slave now to retire and not have to worry about that. It sounds like they're free at the end of their lives, but you want to be free at the start of yours

We're all free at the end of our lives, and for some souls on this world it's the only time they experience liberation.
You're free to dislike that I acknowledge you as an equal soul instead of socially superior despite your asset portfolio and family tree. Accomplishment is relative.
              >have some humility
look at all the adverbs and adjectives you use towards a person simply because you do not understand them. Hate = Ignorance + Fear, but if you take out the ignorance or fear and replace it with intelligence you'd see synergy of dialogue.

Will you continue to focus on the differences you wish to define eachother by or are you trying to help this conversation? It's like you think I need to belong in a separate categorization of lifestyle. Of course I know how things grow, how to rotate crops, nitrogen levels, nutrients, sun-hours, equipment, canning, root cellars, the reality of death, etc.

The only problem I see with this is your house. How are you going to get married and have a family with only a 650sq ft home? You're definitely doing the right thing with owning your own land but maybe build a bigger place when you can. Stay in contact with your frens and family too, it's important.

Expansion as money permits. 650 is good for a single man and requires little energy to heat and cool. I will have a tornado shelter for food and backup storage, which the size is not included in the square footage.

they banned the confederate flag at the country music awards this year, nu-country is woke shit being peddled by ~~*music producers*~~ to attack the rural folk who are the last holdouts of basedness

Tick tock soon there's going to be troony country singers. All themes of music are slowly attempted to be blended together just as the forces that be want us to become interbred among socially defined racial means and blend all ethnicities into a caramel collective. "I'm drunk and don't want to go home" is one of those songs. Stick true to your ethnic heritage. Research Audacy (formerly IHeartRadio/IHeartMedia) and Cumulus media as they are deep rabbit holes of information on how these 'state capitalism' companies are infiltrated and running a nationwide mind numbing campaign on a size that competes with the outreach of the Church. Yes, the Church also has many deep dollars in radio programming, too. Ever sit and ponder on the term "radio programming" before? Country Music Awards are part of the manufactured society, too. They sure did Alan Jackson wrong. I used to run a pirate radio station. The level of crazy shit going on in radio (including broadcast TV, cellular, small-cell, smart grid, smart meter, smart thermostat, etc.) is incredible and takes months to fully digest the magnitude of scale.

By working hard busting your ass every day. On the plus side, much of what you do will be improving your property and maybe generating some food.

Now if your mom will bring you a sandwich every day and let you use her credit card, you would have a pretty casual lifestyle like you are dreaming about.
