        this.

when it comes back bigger than before, try the following.

take a file or nail clippers and trim off the top of the wart so you're down to the second layer of skin.

Use Dr Scholls freeze kit, and freeze the shit out of the area. Freeze it for like 30 seconds. Then let it warm back up, and then freeze it again for 30 seconds.

I had a wart that used the above process on and it went away. had a dermatology appointment a couple months later and she was impressed with the results. Worked better than her one time application of liquid nitrogen on the same spot.

think the key was getting it down to the second layer of skin, cutting off all the thick rough shit first,

i had to dig one out one time with tweezers. was kind of cool like pulling bits of tiny hard worms out of myself.

docs tried freezing and burning it off plus rubbing some cream on it. i dug it out then poured alcohol then peroxide then rubbed the cream on it. not sure if it was safe, but the docs weren't getting it, i used the cream to be safe. long time ago, don't remember the cream name

op, while you should be careful with this, as you can potentially cause blood poisoning and even gangrene, let's assume you are a healthy bloke.
warts usually grow in sort of a conus-shape in the skin. cutting just the outer layer will not be enough.
I'd not mess with the deeper tissue of a small toe, since you can cut ligaments etc, then again it is your toe, and it is sort of not that important for stability.
Have tons of disinfectants and preferably some antibiotics at hand.

Best way to remove a wart is to fold
    > Use attached pic to shave off the crusty skin. They're called callus shavers
    > Freeze off the exposed virus
You'll get rid of it in no time. The trick is removing the skin first.
Since you sliced yourself, flush the area with hot water and soap after you're done since you definitely didn't sterilize anything.

You can use ductape to remove plantar warts from your feet. I tworks better than cryotherapy (freezing it off) mostof the time. When I had wartsafew years ago, I tried the cryotherapy weveral times and nothing happened. After using the tape for a while afterword, the warts just fell out.

      Anonymous

Normal tape worked to remove warts the first time I had them but this time I got some extremely resistant ones where it had no effect. I tried the freezers for home use multiple times while shaving the crust off to no help. In the end I applied the maximum freezing dose twice with a 10 second pause daily until it went away.

Next time before you start cutting into yourself wash the wider area with soap and water. Also be sure to have something very sharp. Cutting into skin with something you think is normally sharp just isn't sharp enough for skin and makes any procedure take longer and results in more bleeding as you tear tissue instead of slicing. Lastly clean with soap and water, put neosporin on it and wrap it tight. Leave it on for at least 16 hours and then change the bandage.

        >put neosporin on it

If you're gonna take care of this, the crazy way, then you've gotta completely rip that fricker out. Once it's completely gone, you'll probably see a couple of small holes, running down into the original skin underneath. You can literally pull them out. You'll hear a ripping noise as it detaches from the healthy skin.

Instead of cutting open your toe, you could have smeared the sap of a greater celandine on the wart for a few weeks. The wart dries out an off.

      or

OP use salicylic acid gel on your warts and cover them up with a bandaid. You can find a gel at CVS or Walgreens that is either made by Compound W or the store itself. Put that on your wart for a few days and it will dry out and soften the skin. When you go to dig out the wart it will be WAY less painful and the wart will come off with ease. You'll still have to use nailclippers or a knife but the tissue is soft and it won't hurt much, if at all.

OP get some iodine/betadine already an sterilize the newly created wound you've made!
Keep after it, cleansing wise, for next ten days. If you see inflammation in next few days go to urgent care and get it assessed and addressed. Don't want to lose a digit over this.

Stubborn warts need multiple deep freezes. Couple days apart or something. Expect blisters.
Salicylic acid works okay but takes diligence and lots of time.
I couldn't get the tape trick to work. feet sweat, tape comes off. feet move, tape works loose.
Cutting into my warts only made them go deeper.

it took me maybe 2 months but I successfully removed a wart with salicylic acid and scraping. Maybe 8 rounds of this total over the two months. I would apply the acid, cover it with duct tape, then let it soften over the next day or so. Then I took a scalpel and just scraped (not cut) the white skin off as far down as I could go - to the point that red skin was exposed but it wasn't bleeding. Then I let it heal a few days or a week until I saw that the wart was still there, then I repeated. On the last scraping I didn't even notice that the root had come out - it must have been very small from the previous scrapings - but a week later the wart hadn't come back so it was done. I'm sure that the two months of damaging my foot stimulated my immune system enough to start targeting the wart - that or I just physically damaged the root enough that it failed after long enough

If the liquid wart remover dries out. Even better use a screw driver to remove and break up the crystal and apply that.

I live in America and I make a lot of money and have excellent health insurance and I still avoid going to the doctor unless it's absolutely necessary because it's a massive waste of time. How long do you think OP spent cutting out his wart? Absolute worst case scenario, an hour or two? He saved time and money solving a problem on his own and if it happens again, he got plenty of good advice for doing a better job next time.

Being self-sufficient and saving time is always better than relying on strangers and wasting time. You'd think that someone on the PrepHole board would understand this.

    The Researcher

Here we see a staple of PrepHole threads, the classic “help me get rid of this medical thing I can’t afford medical care”

The main portion of these threads come from Americans, due to their lack of affordable healthcare. These threads can go horribly wrong, causing death or permanent damage to the poster.

I would recommend soaking your toe in hand sanitizer to prevent infection, and making sure to keep your toe clean.

I remember this one time I got molluscum all over the underside of my dick and I tired every kind of wart remover and tea tree oil bullshit under the sun. Finally, I went into the archives of PrepHole and I was given the advice of "Cowboy it up and cut them out." So, I set up a surgical area in my bathroom, poured rubbing alcohol all over my dick, ripped out each little bump and cluster of bumps (20 iirc), and left a bandage wrapped around my dick for 2 weeks. And after 2 weeks, my dick was healed up nice and the bumps were gone completely. Not even a scar.

      Anonymous

My daughter had molloscum all over her body and it took about a year for it to go away.

One summer the bumps started spreading like crazy and popping. And within 30 days they were all gone.

And OP you done goofed, the DIY cutting just makes them spread. You have to have a doctor freeze or laser them off. Or you can use one of those long term treatments where you put something on each wart every day.

On the two occasions I've had those, an old remedy worked very well:

Banana peel. Have a banana before bedtime, and cut& tape a piece of the peel on your skin to cover the wart. Repeat every night and sleep with it on. Remove in the morning and repeat next evening/night for about a week.

Note: the INSIDE of the peel must face the wart!

Banana peel contains potassium which will kill the wart and makes it pop off a few days down the road. No pain, no nothing.

its a seed wart, you can cut it off down to the skin and burn it out. You have to do it carefully and disinfect the shit out of it or it will spread through any blood or contact with what you cut off. heat something metal and burn the spots to kill the "seed" or it will come back bigger than ever and or spread like it already has.

  33. 5 months ago
    Anonymous

    Do not cut!
    Scrape
You need to carefully remove the skin over the virus. Get liquid Salicylic acid and apply only over the wart. It will take some time but will work if dilagent.

    DO NOT CUT
cutting only spreads and does not remove the skin.
Razor should be perpendicular to the skin and drawn across.

  34. 5 months ago

    Guaranteed removal technique.

Get a nail with the head about the same size as the wart.
Heat the head of the nail up using a little gas torch until it’s white hot (obviously use pliers to hold the nail stem).
Then press the white hot nail head into the wart, for a few seconds.
Repeat every two days for about a week.
    The wart will disappear.

Wart virus is in the blood so if u cut the wart (always highly vascularized) you will simply risk to spread it furthermore. Plus it grows back exactly how it was before if not bigger. I tried romoving some warts at home in multiple ways:
-salicilic acid applyed on wart in the morning and left there under a bandaid until day after when u have to file it until u see blood (dry it, apply salicilic acid and cover up). Rinse and repeat until u don't see any more red/black dots uder ur skin and when the area doesn't turn white when acid is applyed. Good salicilic acid product is "duofilm"
    - lighter, this is painful but effective against superficial awarts. You just burn the wart with a lighter as much as you can and wait for the area to heal back, don't pop the burn bubble, just wait for it to deflate and harden, you will be able to remove it when it will become hard and dry and detaches easy. If needed, don't repeat the process immediately after but wait for area to heal
    - lens burn, by far the most painful, similar if not same as lighter solution but burning the wart at the sun using a lens lets you be more precise and target smaller warts. Imo less effective than lighter and often needs more cycles (remembre not to burn damaged skin)
    > don't let that b***h bleed and remember professional removal is by far the best expecially if done with laser

not reading any of the thread but i'm going to tell you the answer:
yes, you can freeze it off. no, not with the freeze spray.
the problem with the freeze spray is that it doesn't get cold enough fast enough. i don't have the data in front of me so don't take this as gospel, just as an approximation.
the way it works is you freeze the tissue and kill the cells there. hopefully you kill the HPV infected ones and then your body heals.
one problem is that the longer you keep the tissue cold, you risk damaging stuff deeper down as the ball of ice spreads out. so, you want to cool down the area as fast as possible, and then let it come back up to temperature normally.
for example, i think collagen or something starts to get damaged (permanently) after 60 seconds or so.

the cans you can buy are dimethyl ether. this comes out of the can at -24C or -11 F.
this is not nearly cold enough and you often have to hold it on the tissue for a long fricking time.

if you go to a dermatologist, they'll use a can of liquid nitrogen. this comes out at −196 °C or −321 °F.
instantly freezes, like a fraction of a second.

before liquid nitrogen was available, what doctors used was dry ice. this is -78.5C or -109.3 F.
this is almost as good as LN2.
before i elaborate, do research on "dry ice cryotherapy" or "cryosurgery".
watch youtube videos on doctors performing it with liquid nitrogen. if you do this wrong, you will scar yourself. take this seriously.

if you put dry ice in acetone, the acetone gets down to -78C. put it in a shotglass in a mug, or something similar [it's cold]. take a cotton swab and put it in the acetone, let it sit for 10 seconds or so to cool down. touch it to the wart until the ice ball expands 1-2mm beyond the borders of the wart. give it a couple minutes to thaw out. repeat 1 or 2 times.
give it a few weeks to heal. it will blister and maybe scab up. if it's still there, you can repeat this process.
    i've done this. it works.

I think you did really good and was wondering how much you would charge to preform this on me? Pretty much the same thing but one wart is on my other foot and the rest are on the bottom/base area of my penis.

Generally I don't want to spend more than $85 total. The one on my foot I don't care about but the ones on my dick make me depressed.

      see:

not reading any of the thread but i'm going to tell you the answer:
yes, you can freeze it off. no, not with the freeze spray.
the problem with the freeze spray is that it doesn't get cold enough fast enough. i don't have the data in front of me so don't take this as gospel, just as an approximation.

Put a slice of fresh garlic on the wart and hold the garlic on it with a band-aid, replace every day until the wart falls out.

        >just burn your skin extremely slowly instead bro

Applying salicylic acid will make a dead skin 'seed' where ever you put it.

You're not pulling out shit. Freeze it or stop fricking around. Really what happens is your immune system eventually gets its shit together after 5 or 6 months and starts taking it our.

By this time you've been oil pulling or whatver the favorite snake oil is your parents told you and the wart finally goes away because your immune system killed it and you congratulate yourself for your garlic compress technique.

It's been a long time since I had a wart, but Compound W seemed to work fairly well. Usually after about a week or so there would be a point that the wart just seemed to fall apart and then bits of it could just be plucked out via tweezer.

that "Seed" eventually pulls out, it's final string is a blood vessel and you will bleed like a stuck pig

I had a wart on my thumb when I was a kid.
Same deal, used a hobby knife to slice it out. Never came back. If I ever get another I'll be burning it out, though. Less messy.

burning will be less messy but would hurt much more i bet

Depends on how you do it I guess. I'd imagine a soldering iron would be the way since you can essentially melt bits of it before the pain hits you.

I wasted so much time trying home remedies and in the end I got it frozen by a doc twice. Cost less than all those acid and freezing pens.

Okay PrepHoleiggers, I have a small planters wart, what gets rid of that?
I can israelitegle it, but I’d rather hear from anons.
It is small, on the ball of my foot, I used salicylic acid before on a wart on the top of my toe, but never on the ball of my foot.
    What do?

Poor man's acid is apple cider vinegar. Cotton ball/ toilet paper soaked in it, then taped to the wart every day will slowly get it.
I'd usually do that for a while, then go to doc for freezing. Only ever took one freezing when I did that

I had a wart like that for months in the same exact area. I honestly thought it was a corn, and would occasionally frick with it and try shaving it down with a blade, but never went full moron like you did. Eventually it just turned black and fell out on its own, painlessly.

Just dryfast, you starve the infection and it dies, it will be gone within a week if your vigilant and do one meal a day dryfast. Waterfast wont cut it tho.

Related to this. I had a ton of plantar warts on my feet and I wasted 2 months trying to treat them with compound W. I also had a wart on my thumb. I took a bic lighter, held the flame until the metal sheat thing got hot as frick, and then pressed it into the thumb wart until I could feel the burn, basically gave myself a mild 2nd degree burn on the wart. A blister formed a day later, and I let it naturally heal over a couple weeks, then repeated the burn on the remains of the thumb wart. After the second blister fell off, the warts on my feet began to turn black and shrivel up because my immune system recognized the HPV virus from the healing process of the burn. Literally every wart on my body vanished over the course of a month or so.

I was cleaning rust off an old knife with white viBlack person and somehow that caused a wart on my thumb to go away, then as soon as that happened my immune system made the ones on my feet go way.
