It's the damndest thing anon but it isn't there. This is the closest approximation of the rifle I have

      https://www.joesalter.com/category/products/Ruger-Tactical-10-22-Rifle-ATI-Folding-Collapsible-Stock-Threaded-Barr

The barrel is Ruger stamped but the rest is completely unidentifiable

Is that a tacsol td barrel? If it is, do you have a suppressor in the shroud or is it still the blank?

Take a pic of that area and post it. There are other companies that make 10/22 receivers. An 80% isn't out of the question either, someone then slapped a Ruger barrel and parts on it.

Why are you trying to sell it?

Late father owned it, helping my mother offload some old stuff of his

It's possible it could be an 80% receiver but I kind of doubt it, seems a bit too clean for my father's work compared to all the other finished and unfinished pieces he's made

boomer DIY receiver? maybe some niche 80%, looks kinda chonky to be a factory part. also fcg looks aftermarket af.

The barrel might be the only original part on this gun.

Well frick if it is an 80%er job how do I get rid of it whilst making some cash legally at the same time? Arizona btw

You get it serialized. Literally just putting a 1 on it should work, but ask a local gun shop for advice. They should be able to help out, if they have the right FFL.

Sell it to Mexicans for smelly sand money.

Hey, it looks exactly like a brn-22. Your trigger group looks like it may have been upgraded, consider that as well.

Brn-22 is still serialized and marked. It's an 80%. No really good way to sell it to anyone other than a felon face to face. I would upgrade it and just keep it. Technically you can stamp a serial and place of manufacture on it, but nobody is gonna want to buy an 80% receiver that was cobbled together by some random dude. You'll get the most money selling that trigger separately

Yeah, I have a Texas Silencer Company Scoundrel sitting in it. It still had the fake can on in this pic, the Scoundrel was still in jail at the time.

What are you morons talking about? It's perfectly legal to transfer ownership of guns you "manufactured" to someone else as long as they can legally possess a firearm. It's only a problem if you try to sell more than a certain amount in a year.

I'm not saying it's not possible, I'm saying it's a mild pain to make it sellable and nobody wants to take a chance someone else's 80% anyways. The trigger is the only thing on there worth any money.

Yeah I get that, it's not like some rando's 80% build is desirable to most people. I'm just saying there's no legal issue. This would probably be more of a "sell to a buddy for a good price" situation or just part it out like you said.

Probably an 80% build. Not sure how you can sell it though and probably not worth selling. Maybe an FFL/ gun store can serialize it? idk?

If OP still has the whole slide fire kit, including the stock, all that by itself could be sold for 3-400. If it's just the trigger left, maybe 1-200 for someone wanting an upgraded trigger. But there's no way I'd buy an 80% anything from some rando. It would have to be someone I knew and trusted, and then it'd have to be cheap as frick. Try to sell that to the FFL I work at and we will laugh you out of the store. If he really doesn't want a 10/22 for some reason, part it out and throw the receiver in the trash (after properly destroying it, of course) . It will be easier to sell the parts if there's not an ambiguous gun attached to it.

What the frick is going on in this thread? Why does everyone seem to be under some illusion that handmade firearms can't be sold or have to be serialized? You can sell a fricking numberless pipe shotgun so long as you find a moron who wants it.
OP, if you're in a state that allows private sale sans FFL transfer, just put up a classified for cheap. Someone will buy it so long as the workmanship isn't dogshit. When did you /k/ikes become so legally illiterate and overcompliant
