trichinosis is still active in the world. farming practices in the first world have heavily reduced infections from farm-raised animals, but wild game, specifically hogs and predators, are responsible for a majority of infections in the US
It's relatively common in Nordic countries and Russia because people there eat bears and when they do it's a communal feast so half the village gets it at once.

cwd is virtually not a risk for becoming a food-borne pathogen. there is no link or reason to assume that eating cwd positive meat would pose a health risk

Most prion diseases are not even infectious at all but hereditary or sporadic. It's the very tiny minority that are "primarly vectored" by cannibalism.
