I did it.

I did it. I started doing some side work doing simple repairs, installing dishwashers etc, and now I'm getting 3 or 4 jobs a week.

    Nice.

Can you recommend the best guide for installing dishwashers? I have never done it and sometimes customers ask me to.

lets examine what this question means shall we?
      >Can you recommend the best guide for installing dishwashers?
I'm to lazy to google, and I believe that there are detailed instructions on how to do every possible way to install a dishwasher, AND that there are MANY of these instructions, AND some are better than others.
      >I have never done it and sometimes customers ask me to.
      That's sexual harassment.

Even fancy dishwashers are very easy, you have a drain line that ties in under the sink, power, and a water line, the hardest part is leveling the feet if you have a lumpy floor, I charge 100 to install them if there's already power, 150 if there's no power

The dishwasher comes with installation instructions. 90% of installs will go without a hitch but you will come across setups where the pipe is too short, or the wire needs to be extended, or the water supply is from a soldered copper pipe without a stop.

Start doing water heats and you will make $500-1000 an install

OP here. used an app called nextdoor, I haven't had social media in since Myspace, it started slow, but old people really so spread the word. I did a siding cleaning job today, didn't have a pressure washer cause I'm saving up for a new one. Lowe's sells this stuff called 30 second cleaner, I spray it on with a pump sprayer and just hit it with a garden hose, gets siding look brand new. Real tough spots I hit with a large soft bristle shop brush. Took me about 3 hours and I pocketed 75 bucks and a rifle. The lady asked if id be interested in a trade as she didn't have much cash when she messaged me about the job. I'm going to trade that rifle for some tree work I needed done on Monday. On another positive, I've almost quit drinking. I'm down to a shot in the morning and before bed for 2 weeks , came from a handle every 3 days. Today's a good day.

Word. Of. Mouth. It's king with simple projects. These older people hire it all out. Be kind, be clean, be White, and price fair.

Whatever you do make sure you have insurance and register a business. One of your repairs might fail (may be of no fault of your own) and suddenly you’re personally liable if you’re not under a business and are not insured.

      >make sure you quintuple your overhead cuz Senator Shekestein said you have to
No. Frick off. If the illegal Mexicans that own this country now don't have to then I don't either.
