I can’t be the only one who picks guns in vidya based on irl preferences.
Even if that means I have to put myself in a disadvantage when fighting meta slaves.
LARP knows no limits.

the .45 SIG pistol in the new cawadooty is extremely overpowered. Does more damage than the battle rifles and dmr's.
Two world wars son.
its because all the handguns are balanced with damage range
I have a PTR 91 and I almost always use the G3 variants.
my moron.
I think it got nerfed. people run other sidearms now apparently
on console the 458 socom AR is grossly overpowered with aim assist and an optic
Based. CoD 4 G3 was my fucking jam. It sounded like ass though.
It was BF2 for me. My issue with CoD4 was the charging handle stayed stuck outwards.
I played split screen with my big bro once and he let me make a build and I made an SBR M4 because I’m a poorfag and can’t afford an SBR. I’m pretty shit at COD these days but everyone is always “grinding camos” so they use the stupidest guns available and make the game that much easier for me. Was actually kind of fun for a bit
The nu-COD gun building mechanic is really barebones but I wish more games had it
>SBR M4
based. I build a Honey Badger 300BLK 10“ SBR because the M4 doesn’t allow for 300BLK in the new cod
>We're 300% BLK
do you have a single fact to back that up
After you level all the guns, you might as well grind for camos just to feel like the work is going somewhere. Also forces you to become at least competent with all weapons so you can beat the '3 kills in one life 10 times' challenge for gold.
I hate using the FTAC just because of how little ammo you get for it. The .458 in MW2019 was at least geared for automatic fire so the recoil was controllable and the magazine capacity could be bumped up to be adequate. The FTAC has delusions of DMR-dom but requires a 3-shot anywhere on the body except a headshot. Since your magazine capacity is capped at 15 and the sight picture during fire is dogshit, you might as well use literally anything else.
I've done the same, in fact part of the fun for me when playing modded STALKER (besides uninstalling it) is putting together a load out that closely matches what I own. That and picking weapon mods in L4D2 that match what I own
Which games nail the "feel" of certain guns you own? Grand Theft Auto IV and Mafia II really captured the feel of shooting the Glock 17 and S&W Model 27, at least in my opinion.
>no, I don't care about ballistics, that wouldn't be tactical for cqb haha
What's wrong with a 9" .300blk?
>From a 9 in (230 mm) barrel, the 125 gr BLK round has the same muzzle energy as the M855 from the M4, and 5 percent more energy at 440 meters.
>implying M855 is good
So what would you run for yourself? Assuming mixed indoor and outdoor combat.
The point here isn't which bullet design is more effective, but that M855 is a good rule of thumb for a military 5.56 load fired out of a standard military rifle.
are you baiting or just retarded?
I exclusively use the "Lachmann 556" and "TAQ-V" because those are my two dream guns. I hate all the pistols so I gotta run Overkill so I can use the "Expedite 12" as my secondary. Hoping they add a P30 or CZ P-01 soon.
Silly boy, you run launchers not pistols.
I used to say this all the time: Larp is love, Larp is life.
baZed
I use guns in vidya based on looks, and I'm good enough at the game that I make metatrannies seethe in doing so. Only game that doesn't really fit that bill is Hunt, since all the guns have a place.
Shouldn't be that big of an issue since most guns in Hunt are pretty cool
Of course! Unfortunately I did have to stop using the Sharps for a bit last season since that became one of the meta guns of choice, same with the Winchester 1876, began using the 1873 Musket in lieu of it though.
So you're not picking them based on looks, you're picking whatever is unpopular at the time?
Bit of both, I quite like Musket Winchesters. I also still use the Martini-Henry and Schofield obsessively on looks alone.
>I can’t be the only one who picks guns in vidya based on irl preferences.
Literally no. You're not special gay.
Yup
>Chimera
>M4
>larp guns
both of these guns are so meta you don't even need to run good attachments with them to beat 95% of other weapons in the game with perfect setups
Sounds like a skill issue
They're gonna' add an AR-10 on the 15th of this month.
They better have classic looking AR-10B style furniture
I haven't played any gun vidya in a long time, but I remember back when I used to black Black Ops, after the first time I prestiged or whatever I started over with the M16, and for some reason I noticed I did better with it than any of the guns you don't get till later, I forget what kind of scope I used with it
I kinda do and kinda don't. For example I don't like the SKS much IRL, but will happily use it in RS2. I confess to only owning a FAL because of vidya gaems though
In the original Warzone, I made my mosin 91/30 with bayonet. Thing was OP as fuck before they patched the bayonet (so like 2 seasons), see an entire team in a stairwell and pigstick each one individually, team wipe.
In the current one everything seems to be AK. Have the 100 round drum RPK but with AKM barrel and stock as the preferred loadout.
that game is so fucked the SBMM algo, the hackers, the constant nerfing and buffing. i just want it to be a fun co op adventure like wildlands or MGS but with GOOD controls and guns.
I only use guns I have in real life (obviously not machine guns in real life tho) in just about every modern shooter I play so I can self insert larp. The new CoD I only use the MP5, AUG, and AK74 because those are my favorite guns that I have irl.
is so funny that the M14 is one of the more controllable BRs while the G3 is the least controllable.
Interesting, I used to hear that the G3 was pretty violent but now I keep seeing praise for it.
Was there a big problem with blown out trunions on the edge of turning HK91 clones into direct blowback or something?
FTAC Recon Clone soon.
I autisticly try to recreate guns I own in CoD. I mostly roll the AKM (or "Kastov") and it slaps. I do wish the had a proper draco build available.
I usually make my picks based on larping purposes (i.e playing as americans, gonna pick an american gun)
I do have a preference for the sks if there is one available
