More tanks, more Brads, more ammunition.

I think the primary factor in why we are seeing so much more Bradley footage than tank footage is just that there are so many more Bradley's than tanks. The back bone of Ukraine's armored formation is basically still Soviet Era MBT's. We sent a single Battalion worth of Abrams and 3 of BFV's. We should aim to send enough to equip an entire division plus replacements and maintenance support.

We have plenty of M1's around, the issue is the export ban on DU armor packages, I think simply allowing the export of Abrams with the least-modern (i.e. not Gen 3) armor packages would open up significantly more tanks.

That and anti-drone/EW equipment. This is where we should be focusing aid to develop best practices really hone in on the lessons learned and field testing our most advanced equipment.

Why is Russia still trying trying to advance and attack, are they just bored and suicidal? Btw don´t you find it a bit embaressing that after half a year were Ukraine got next to no aid the only only thing the Russians could capture was Avdiivka and some villages?

War of attrition only works if you keep attrition going. Russia has bet it can win in 12-36 more months even if it loses 2:1. They probably aren't long about that, and if Ukraine collapses from attrition they will be worn out and so Russia is likely to try to grab a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if they are still hoping for Kyiv or even all the way to the Polish border.

9:1 and 13:1 isn't going to cut it. Especially given they've managed that off the backs of their prison population, which Ukraine is only now PLANNING on utilizing themselves.

Those gains cost so much men and material any success is automatically Pyrrhic. Your heroes have been held largely to a stalemate by a MUCH weaker nation.

If an average garden snail started traveling the same day the Russians invaded (2/24/2022) at it's usual speed of 0.03mph the snail will have already traveled 565.92 miles. If the snail started at the end of the Kherson counter-offensive (11/11/2022) it will have traveled 378.72 miles. Pic very related.

If you read the actual bill a lot of it's for operational stuff, yeah. Which is a huge thing about foreign aid, you're not just supplying the cool flashy fancy stuff, you're also providing Igor with spare parts for his LITERAL SA-5 BATTERY that you had to buy at significant expense from a company in Lithuania (said spare part is so old that the company was completely fine with selling it to you until the government of Lithuania found out that it's for an operational SA-5 battery and freaked the frick out). Trying to explain this to the literal children on this board is tiring.

How much has Israel got from us over the last 50 years? Let's say 20B per year, that's a fricking trillion. Enough is enough. As for Taiwan, they are important but I think they'll fold at the first sign of an actual invasion and we'll look like idiots trying to fund them. (see Afghanistan)

Total aid to Israel is $300 adjusted for inflation. Taiwan matters so we can't take the risk. Ukraine is very meh in reality.

The value of aiding Ukraine is obliterating Russia's military capabilities which is very valuable to NATO and pretty much everyone Russia shares a border with, including China. The US not having to go to war with Russia because they've decided to bash their own faces in for us on the brick wall that is Ukraine is massive. Think about how much they've had to pull out of the old Soviet stockpiles. Think about how many experienced troops have had to be replaced with barely trained mobiks. One of the things that bugs the shit out of me about the /misc/ack types is they're utterly incapable of seeing the value in Russia's military capability being drained. Half of them think Russia is the savior of the huwite race and conservative values when they're a bunch of asiatic drunks with values that are in direct opposition to what we'd typically consider conservative. The other half just don't seem to understand this whole thing is effectively nothing but gains for us. The combat data alone is unbelievably valuable and will be factored into new man-made horrors for decades to come.

Taiwan matters until the thing that makes them matter moves somewhere safer, which is in progress last I read. That said it'd be a really shit thing to abandon them to the hivers on mainland the second war is on the horizon. Most important things for them are probably AShMs, artillery, SAMs, and construction materials for fortifications to make landing forces on their shores a real bastard. Pretty sure they make their own AShMs and SAMs but more isn't bad.

Really don't think Israel needs much foreign aid honestly. Their MIC is pretty damn stout on it's own and it's not like they're a poor country. The only way they might actually need it so far as I see is if the slap fight with the Iranians starts to get serious and turns into a war. As far as the Palestinian problem goes at this point I feel like they'd rather we just frick off and let them do their thing unimpeded.

You're probably underestimating just how much money $50,000,000,000 is which isn't a hard mistake to make with such obscene quantities of money. Also helps when you're not sending anything particularly expensive on that scale. Sending aircraft would use it up fairly quick depending on the model for example. Clearing out old shit we don't use anymore is also going to help cut costs. The biggest items on the list are probably the Abrams, HIMARS, and C-RAMs. Just based off a quick google with $50B you could buy just over 5.5k Abrams tanks.

                >Muh Ukraine
                >Frick Israel and Taiwan
Israel is an actual ally and Taiwan actually matters. Get your shit unfricked.

And no, all that shit you listed is far in excess of 60B. See [...]

Glad it passed but over half the GOP voting to block it doesn't bode well for future aid. Russia seems willing to keep this up for years whereas depending on what happens in November this is probably it for US aid.

I would give them what can be given before the new term starts lol.

I'm not sure I'd go with Bradleys at all.

Think of it: For $1 billion, what would likely kill more Russians: 330 Bradleys, or 50,000 technicals with M197 20mm cannons or grenade launchers?

We could mount the entirety of the Ukrainian army for a few billion dollars. Why the frick we're bullshitting around with a handful of Abrams and F-16's, I have no idea.
20mm will penetrate a Russian APC, so you've just taken away all their mobility when you've converted the entire Ukrainian army into a driver + gunner squad that can annihilate a BMP. Another $1 billion gets you enough Javelins to take out every tank Russia has.

They're being mowed down by artillery in trenches. While their kda is positive, I know I'd rather be in a technical with the ability to reach out to a mile than sit in a trench with a 5.56 waiting for a Russian to walk up to me.

I think Bradleys would kill more, anon. They can't get bogged down, can't get disabled or destroyed (or have their crew injured) by anything from HMG fire to artillery, they have brilliant sensors, can carry dismounts, you name it.

Also 20mm won't necessarily penetrate an IFV, which is a lot of what Russia uses. BTRs yeah sure but BMPs have a chance at shrugging that shit off frontally. 25mm APDS will do the job reliably, if it doesn't then TOWs will.

I will say that JLTVs would be a great purchase and are probably what Ukraine is going to buy with their funding considering that they've been crying out for organic transport for the last 6 months. M113s and Humvees are valued surprisingly highly for what they are.

Russians already do that with golf carts and look how successful they are. A Bradley can survive a lot of things rusoids can throw at it and even if it won't, then it's likely it'll save the crew, which is important considering attritional warfare. A toyota shitbox will save shit, see any webm starring a golf cart or a buchanka.

Nah, that has nothing to do with it. Mikey was just trying to save his own ass, given that his Speakership, or whatever the frick it's called, was at risk, if he let any Ukrainian aid bill through. However, it got to the point where he had no other choice, because sitting on his hands and refusing to allow any bills to even get voted on would get him nowhere, and eventually he realized that there weren't enough turbo-moronic fake conservatives in the Republican party to oust him, given that the Dems had promised to leave him be, if he just allowed them to vote on the various military aid bills.
So, he's safe for now. Of course, he's still a fricking satanic piece of degenerate trash, who'd make a deal with satan himself, or any kind of anti-western communist demagogue, if it meant that he'd keep his position as speaker. That may not be the same cost, as things may be done more cheaply in other ways (two squadrons of A-10Cs being replaced with, idk, a squadrons worth of UCAVs or half of an F-35 squadron) but you still have to pay for a replacement capability.

I think a lot of attention gets placed on what can be sent but money should really be going to getting the Ukrainians domestic production up to speed. It'd be more efficient for them to make their more of their own MBTs rather than wait for donations. Domestic production of their own ballistic missiles and cruise missiles would be great too if it increased.

I agree, supposedly DU armor has gone through several generations, I can't imagine foreign governments haven't at least managed to espionage the earliest stuff. I can't tell if DU is insanely good they wont risk even the old shit getting exploited or if it's just standard government moronation.

Ukraine's facing two critical problems right now, lack of manpower and lack of shells. Second is easier to fix - kickstart ammo production, buy trucks, etc. First harder to fix and ultimately may be the doom of ukraine. I suppose investing into more bradleys and tanks to make the remaining men as effective as possible but the bitter reality is that without a miracle I don't see Ukraine having enough men to win back its lost territories

I'd just hire Blackwater or whatever its new name is, and other private western military companies. Why can't Ukraine do this anyway, Russia does it.

Mercenaries don't like peer warfare because you can't spend the money from your grave.
The ones that fight for Russia mainly do so in Africa where they have every advantage and don't spend their nights getting shelled.

Mostly just jets and artillery, since those would be the most useful for taking care of the minefield problem.

They shouldn't pussyfoot in giving Ukraine aid because Ukraine does not have the same amount of experienced soldiers compared in 2022-2023.

They should be all in on TZD instead of just dripfeed aid.
