Russia developed something like that called the SHAK-12. Seemed neat. Literally just looked like a 12.7mm AK with an eBay bullpup kit on it. Seems kind of like the Russian equivalent of 50 Beowulf uppers that are cool in theory but don't have a real practical purpose.
Need a really long chamber throat, you also now have a bullet way too heavy for its case capacity. Bearing surface has increased and therefore so has engraving resistance.
The Whispers are all shit cartridges too.
Bullet too long for .50AE and .50AE doesn't have anywhere near the capability even when half the case capacity is taken up by a bullet. A 750gr bullet moving 1100 FPS has about 2000 FPE. I bet a slightly resized .500 Auto Max would do it, but the .50AE would probably have difficulty breaking 400 FPS with a BMG bullet, and I don't even want to imagine the twist rate you'd need.
