Used to have one of these. The problem is decent diameter galvanized pipe is actually expensive, probably more so than a decent leverage-secured doorway one, and you'll be limited to a straight grip, which can be hard on your shoulders.
Unless you have the pipe on-hand, buy a decent doorway one.
I nailed some 2 x 4's to the underside of a balcony, drilled a hole in each side, and then put a steel pipe through. Used another couple wood screws on either side of the pipe as set screws to prevent it rotating. Took like half an hour, two pieces of scrap wood, and a piece of scrap pipe
Here is mine that I welded together out of shitty, rusty scrap metal. Gonna clean the rust off, paint it and maybe straighten it up a bit at some point in the future but it serves its purpose for now. Just went into a gym I go to that has one, measured it and copied it basically
im unathletic as frick and this anon is correct. i used to do massive sets of pullups back when I used to do gymnastics and 10 years later my elbows nearly popped out of their sockets when I tried a muscle up in front of my friends.
anyways, moral of the story is to do pushups and lifts instead
I made a power-rack with a pull-up bar out of discount 6x6 and plumbing gear. It was a real pain in the ass cutting the holes, but it was satisfying upon completion. I followed this video
just go to the gym, otherwise ngmi

>galvanized pipe
that's carbon steel pipe, which is dirt cheap

this is why fittings exist
You got dimensions for that friend?

So ignore everyone else? It's the gym, not a house party
Martha speaks. Gendron listens.
I use pic rel, kinda cheap, you can do pull ups on them, and many other body-weight exercises.
What is it like being 3' tall?
Or you could stack them on top of some pallets or something else sturdy.
Go to a playground.
Yes scare all the children and have a police car sit there staring at you.

>find a tree
>mark it with piss
>attack other lifeforms close to your vicinity

>step 1) acquire pic rel and 2 4x6 posts
>step 2) put them together
>step 3) put the results of step 2 in the ground
wa la

Go walk to a local park and use the bars there
You'll quickly find you can't do a pullup so you're better off doing a bunch of calisthenics or weight lifting until you can
There, saved you having shit randomly gathering dust
