Honestly, I've just started to embrace it. I recognize that I'm obsessed and in a manic phase and I make the most of it. I drink a redbull in the morning and dive into it as hard as I can. Internally I know that in 2 weeks I might run out of interest/motivation, I just smile and keep the flame burning as long as I can.
I forgive myself when I lose interest, and I encourage myself to find something new to dive into. It is what it is.
Stop trying new hobbies circle back on a couple you already spent money on. I regularly go back and finish old projects, often it's satisfying.
Think about why you thought you'd enjoy a hobby, why you didn't like it and use that to decide on your future projects
i make sure that i have a good stopping point before i quit a hobby. ideally i finish a project, but at least i put everything in a state where it can be left indefinitely. so like, don't leave out a bunch of chemicals and molds because you were just in the middle of learning how to make soap, or whatever.
usually i'll rotate back to continue with that project at some point in the future. i view it as a break, not as being done forever.
Try setting small goals and talking yourself you need to finish them before you tap out. Alternatively, of you get into hobbies just for having fun, then there's no problem dropping them as soon as they aren't fun anymore, assuming you can afford to keep trying new stuff. Life is short, you should sample as much as you can.
You have psychological issues
Adderall / Meth
Yep. Even that isn't fool proof. Nevermind the hobbies, just work more, it's what I do.
same but with girlfriends
Learn more about the hobby instead of enjoying the image of you doing the hobby.

Doesn't sound like you have much passion about whatever this hobby is. You don't have to like shit.
Just cycle through your existing hobbies.
Keep banging dudes till you get aids and never treat it. Then live your life to the fullest with the aids ridden time you have left
Get treated for ADHD.

>I regularly go back and finish old projects,
that's the worst, too much closure and satisfaction means you'll never come back to it again

Welcome to reality.
I have piles of projects I'll never finish. Might try Adderall and see if it changes stuff.
i usually just limit the amount of ongoing projects. Like if I have a bunch of unfinished shit I won't allow myself to invest money in something new.
when it doesn't involve money I just like learning about new stuff, its nice and I embrace it
