How the hell do I remove stains from white clothing?

I won’t go into detail but the dress code at my job requires me to wear these white jackets and I have absolutely no idea how to get the stains out of them, I’ve tried oxyclean and other bleach alternative for fear of bleach stains which worked alright but didn’t remove everything, is there a proper way to use bleach or something? Everything on the internet says to avoid it.

TLDR: moron can’t afford dry cleaners and wants to remove stains from white clothing.

Helps to know what the stain is but i find that making a paste of baking soda and water and using that directly on the stain with cold water followed by a diluted bleach soak and a hot water washing machine cycle works for most stains on white material

Mixing bleach and baking soda? I think they’re both bases but I’m going to need a little convincing that this isn’t one of those “haha you listened to my post and now you’ve flooded your apartment with chlorine gas moron” type of posts.

Did you actually soak it in oxiclean, or just dump a scoop into the laundry on whatever setting. Concentration and application time make a difference with it.

different anon chiming in - Dissolve the oxyclean in hot water, then let clothes soak in a bucket awhile and stir, then dump water and coat into washer.

There are things that should be cleaned (first) with cold water (like blood) and as quickly as possible (don't let it dry), rub it together with some shampoo until the stain is no longer fading, and after that wash it in washing machine. OR wet the material with water and use citron acid (lemon juice is half good as well) and baking soda on the stain. Use old toothbrush (or other brush) to rub it into the stain. I usually soak the cloth into hot water and wear thick rubber gloves to do it.
You can also try to wash it the old way if the material allows it, basically boil water, soak material in it with washing agent, rub it and then rinse it.
