How should we renovate "Clubhouse" in abandoned factory

There's a huge abandoned factory in my city that, after speaking with the cops, they refuse to set foot in unless they actively need to make an arrest. The factory has already been stripped and looted, some ceilings are falling through, etc.

There's a lookout at the very top of the factory that is kind of a pain in the ass to get to (you either have to do rooftop parkour or climb a series of broken & hidden staircases). Me and 2 other people I see there a lot were talking about turning the lookout into an adult clubhouse of sorts. Yesterday I took a leafblower (and a paint mask so i don't inhale century old lead and asbestos) sprayed all the dirt I could downstairs, and one of the other guys has been working on painting the walls all sorts of different colors we're adding a guest list so anybody can come in and sign their name, age, and whatever else.

What would you recommend we do to turn this crackhouse into a crackhome? I want it to be comfy enough for adults, but also withstand the occasional shithead teenager that has no respect for other peoples work. Since all of the windows have been broken, anything we do to it would have to be water proof or easily replaceable after water damage

People don't respect barbed wire. They're not going to respect your hoodrat look out.

I literally said I expect people to come through that won't respect it. That's why I'm asking for idea that would be able to withstand that type of abuse.

Basically everything in the lookout is already broken, and the stuff that isn't broken would require them to jump across rooftops with a backpack full of power tools. The most likely form of damage will be in the form of dicks being spray painted on something.

There are ladders scattered throughout the facility. I'm thinking about lifting one into the lookout and hiding string lights that can take usb power on top of the rafters. Nobody would know they're there and the rooftop would protect them from the elements

I would just bring a rechargeable battery and climb up the rafter when I need to turn them on

I don't understand this at all. Is it that you're homeless? Because I don't see why someone would willingly hang out in a dilapidated old building full of rats and asbestos and homeless people if they have a home.

      >you're not having fun in a way I would have fun so you must be homeless
Do you think people that go camping are just larping as being homeless too?

I actually go out of my way to make the hobos there okay with me
I live in a state with can deposits so anytime I get done drinking myself or I see someone else left cans laying around, I leave them in front of the room the squatters all stay in as a sort of sacrifice.

Surely you aren't seriously trying to compare camping with hanging out in a crackhouse?

          >get a bunch of your gear to go to a preplanned location
          >have to walk several acres to get to a good spot
          >walk by potentially homeless strangers that may be strung out on crack
          >get to quiet spot where you plan to spend the next few hours
          >surrounded by bugs potentially carrying illnesses and other things that can just fall at a moments notice and kill you
          >youre praying the spot is secluded, but if you've been watched the entire time by a serial killer you likely wouldn't notice

A bunch of high schoolers found the "clubhouse" and signed the guest book yesterday while I was at work. Honestly surprised they didn't decide to trash the place.

Maybe theres some hope for American teenagers after all

Well, at least they didn't need to start a thread about "I want to hang out in a sketchy abandoned building with my friends, what do?", so that's an improvement.

Teenagers love spaces where they can hang out on their own, away from adults.
Some of them ruin it for everyone, though, when they decide to throw a 2AM rager on a weekday night in the middle of a residential neighborhood..

Gonna be fun when those kids do something and you get held liable for making it usable

What a boring fricking thread. Post some photos of this place. Show us what the room looks like if you won't show the full facility.
